tami-chan Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Interesting topic. I very rarely drink alcoholic beverages and if I do, it is only when I am with someone I trust 100% and very rarely ( as in never..lol) in a group. I have seen far too many people make a fool of themselves, that I do not really see why I would want to ever find myself in that situation. I think people are less inhibited when they have alcohol in their system. So they are more impulsive in their actions and words. Is it a truth serum, no, not necessarily.
freestyle Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I do believe alcohol acts as a truth serum. Recently I heard a saying: What's on a drunk man's tongue- Is on a sober man's mind..........
DiscoChick Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Yeh...drunk people tell everything. I like being around them just for the laugh.
shadowplay Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Ha. Did your bf make a drunken confession, Spookie?
Author spookie Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 not a confession per se but last time we drank he said, "i just want you to love me," and mumbled some crap about how hed alwyas take care of me and would never leave me. he is very affectionate when we are sober but we havent said i love you yet.
bananaboat11 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 My best female friend who is smart and attractive told me (her boyfriend was not even 5 feet away in the bar, but luckily didn't overhear this...) that if I didn't get her and her bf back together (b/c I'm such a good best friend of 6 years)... she wanted to **** me that night... and on new years eve when she told me she wanted to kiss me and not him... ..both times... she was decently drunk... interesting.....
pandagirl Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 not a confession per se but last time we drank he said, "i just want you to love me," and mumbled some crap about how hed alwyas take care of me and would never leave me. he is very affectionate when we are sober but we havent said i love you yet. My boyfriend first told me he was in love with me when he was drunk. Didn't pay too much attention to that declaration. This weekend, again while he was drunk, he told me 4 or 5 times he loved me. The next day, when we were watching TV, I just said to him: "Do you only love me when you're drunk?" To which he said bashfully, "I'm too guarded to say it otherwise." Later on that night he, soberly, told me he loved me. So, maybe your boyfriend is working up to something!
