theizz Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Its weird, like 80% of the girls I talk to on okcupid all say they are, were, or want to be a photographer. Why do you think that is? My theory is that those type of girls generally have trouble getting dates for some reason and end up on dating websites. So my advice to girls is: get a hobby other than photography if you want a boyfriend. Maybe photography is like the female version of dungeons and dragons, its a male repellent.
Barky Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 LOL where I go I see a lot of Catholic nurses for some reason.
alphamale Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 i generally see a lot more men taking pics than women
phineas Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Their all in sales, teaching or own their own business in the late 30's in my neck of the woods.
WTRanger Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 "Every hot girl who can aim a camera thinks she's a photographer. Oooooooh, you took a black-and-white picture of a lawn chair and its shadow and developed it at Save-On. You must be so brooding and deep." -- Stewie Griffin.
St. Nick Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I used to do the tangowire sites and women almost always had profile pics of their dogs. I don't know if other dudes noticed this, but whenever I used to look at a woman's profile, there was a good chance she had a pic of her dog.
Enema Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I think women want to seem like they're artistic and creative... and when you compare photography to something like painting or sculpting, it: - Takes up less space - Needs less "real" skill - Easier to showoff on facebook I liken women into photography as most men on the internet are sensitive romantics with black belts.
Crazy Magnet Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 It can be less time consuming than other hobbies, although I find that it sucks up just as much of my time. I spend hour reading different books on photography, joined groups, met lots of friends and we go out for picture taking sessions. I wanted a new hobby for turning 30 and it was between the camera and running marathons....and that sounded too painful in the end.
