My ex contacted me after 1 month

my ex started to contact me this week after a month from NC first contacts he also started to call me with ym pet name Abby or baby and today he also told me he really miss me and im special, and well he started to use the jokes we use to say when we was togheter?? and im sure he had tears because he started to touch his eyes and face i know him, and well ask about my friends, pets family etc..

He is not dating anyone and he is abroad so he cant want me for sex

what all this mean??

Sounds like he is missing you, BUT make sure your not a backup if things don't work out for him. I wouldn't think to much into it, play it slow and take it in stride.
