meerkat stew Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Thats a huge wrinkle... Oh, forgot to mention it's in 6 point script, sorry to disappoint.
hersmudders Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I typically love tattoos (tattoos, not tats!) on guys. I think they're sexy if they're tasteful. I have 11 tattoos myself and some are definitely more attractive than others so I don't hold grudges against ugly ones on guys. but i don't like japanese or foreign symbols. i don't care what it means, if i can't read it, i think it's kinda lame (i decided this after i got my own japanese symbol on my back). i say get something else, but yes, tattoos on guys are nice.

hersmudders Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I'm glad you like them on guys. I love tattoos on women... My boyfriend has one tattoo on his calf. When we met, he was wearing camo cargo shorts (which I normally dislike), flip flops, and a knee brace for his bad knee (same leg the tattoo is on). it looked SO manly how he was wearing it and the tattoo added to it. God, it was sexy....yeah, tattoos can often be the cherry on top for me. i've dated very few guys without tattoos and needless to say, those didn't work out
Calendula Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I have a short question: what do you ladies think of guys who have a tattoo? I was meaning getting a tattoo for quite some time now. It would be the so called third song of the path in japanese kanji which roughly translates to: Rely on Aiki to activate all manifest powers: Pacify your environment and create a beautiful world! For those who don't know - it is related to Aikido, a Japanese martial art. It has a much more deeper meaning to me than just getting a kanji that says: 'truth' or 'dragon' etc. I was thinking of placing that on my back, between my shoulders... If you're getting it solely for you and you've spent at least 6+ months thinking about it and still want it, then I say go for it. Whether or not you have tattoos shouldn't matter to the girl that is meant for you. As others have said, make sure you spend the money and get it done well because you'll have it for the rest of your life, even if you won't see it on a daily basis because it will be on your back. Personally, I couldn't care one way or another whether the guy I'm with has tattoos, as long as everything else in the relationship works well. One of my previous partners had both of his arms sleeved and after a short period of time I didn't even really notice them anymore. After being with someone for a while, you get used to how they look, tattoos and all, and it would always catch me off guard when someone who met him for the first time commented on his tattoos. After being with him for so long, they just weren't what stood out to me about his appearance anymore. As far as placement goes, on the back between the shoulder blades is an excellent body location in terms of long-term wearability - little stretching with time, etc. I also hear, however, that ink across the spinal bones hurts at least as much as ink across the sternum, and that both hurt like H***LLL. Course you might like that kind of thing .
