I was talking to a female friend when the topic of sex came up. We talked about some of the thing we have done, want to do, etc. During the conversation she made a statement that really struck me. She said something along the lines of, "oh but I would never do that with a SO."

 

I however feel the opposite. There are certain things that I would only do inside of a relationship. I wouldn't hold back with someone I care about. For some reason I cannot reconcile the stance that you would be willing to do certain things with a complete stranger, fwb, etc but not with someone you actually care about. (We weren't talking about threesomes or anything else with others involved)

 

Does anyone else feel the same? Any opinions?

Yeah, I will do much MUCH MUCH more with my SO than I would ever do with someone I do not love. There is something about emotional trust that I need before I can go hog wild...

Maybe she was talking about something degrading that she would do to the partner. I won't go into details but I think y'all get the gist of what I'm saying.

I don't want to get too graphic because this is on a public board instead of the private sex board so kids could potentially read it. I chose this board because I thought I would get more responses. She had more of an "anything goes" mentality with a fling but not with a SO. No weird fetish talk. She claims to have done anal, facials, public with flings but not with a SO...things like that.

Yes. Main thing--rape fantasies. I've done them with FWBs or otherwise non-boyfriends, but never with boyfriends. For some reason I tend to date guys who are more prudish in bed and would be really freaked out/turned off if I suggested doing that.

There's only one thing I'd do with a fwb that I'd never do in a serious relationship: threesomes/group sex/orgies. I firmly believe that once you get to the in love stage it should be the two of you. However there are many things I'd only do with a SO.

I guess it's a matter of being respected by the guy. I guess girls don't feel too respected when they receive a big, nasty facial. I'd have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that my girlfriend would hold back from me things she'd be willing to do with a f*ck buddy.

Wow, this doesn't make sense to me and you admit the same. If you don't change your thinking you'll end up married and sexually unsatisfied.. then what happens?

I think it's pretty digusting for someone to do sexual things with a ONS or a FWB, and then have a "I would never" attitude with an SO. The very definition of "living a lie."
