Eve Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Just wondering if anyone here has completed a walk for charity and if there is anything pressing I should know in advance. I have just committed to it in my mind and so will now do the proper research myself but would appreciate any comments offered. I am in okay shape but understand that this is not a good indicator of overall fitness level.. The walk is only 13 miles.. but I have not walked that far in one go in about 14 years. Take care, Eve xx

Very good advice... Especially broken in shoes... Nothing as bad as new shoes, rubbing bliseters on your feet.... Just pace yourself with what you are confortable in walking. Have fun! I volunteer for Susan G Komen, and help put on our walk/5 K and its so much fun... Great energy.. You'll love it...
