I finally get around to seeing Avatar and I admit that the chracter of Neytiri turned me on. To me she was like the perfect woman. She is adventurous and tough as nails but also very feminine and a romantic. Does this make me weird?

Nope because Jake is hot ...I was watching the movie ...like omg stop it.... he is blue ...lol..:lmao:

But this is coming from the girl who has the biggest crush on Heath Ledger as the Joker

I'm with you about Ledger (RIP) as the Joker! He did a fantastic job.

Curious, was this because it was Heath Ledger? or due to something about the costume or makeup? or something about that particular version of the Joker? Have heard many women say this so wondering.

No it was just this particular version of the Joker...I have had no interest in the Joker before...and barely even knew who Heath Ledger was(may he rest in peace) but I did fall in love with all his work after this role.

I guess I love how insane the character is ... its like an imaginary like...not like I would want someone like him in real life but its just so hot

For me it was Ledger + his intensity in the role.

It's a little weird but I wouldn't say it makes you deviant. It's not too far different then the girls who like all that vampire crap now-a-days.

Or the grown women lusting after the 19 year old vampire and 17 year old wolf..:lmao:

I used to be turned on by my ex. I think he was an alien.

I thought the characters in Avatar were kinda sexy, except their bodies were too long and disproportionate. No, I don't think it's weird. They were kind of funky-sexy. I think that was the point.

It's actually computer animation based on a real woman's movements. I told my wife that she reminded me of her but with blue skin so for those who say I show no outward affection towards her there you have it.

LOL...um my bf told me that the look in her eyes reminded him of me. Good Lord, maybe he got all worked up too!! :o

Are these guys really 17 and 19 or 25 year olds playing high schoolers?

The vampire was born in 1986( so he is 23 now..but 21 in the first one)

And the wolf turns 18 next month...so he was 16 in the first and shirtless at 17 ...

This is a great topic

fictional characters I've crushed on...

Only in their original novel form:

1) Darcy from P&P (all of the movie actor versions are )

2) Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights (so passionate and devoted, albeit highly destructive)

Movie characters:

1) Malcolm McDowell as Alex in A Clockwork Orange (so smart, badass and mischevious)

2) Christian Slater as JD in Heathers (intelligent, badass and snarky)

3) Spike (the vampire character) from Buffy

4) Marlon Brando's character in A Streetcar (raw intelligence plus cartoonish male bravado)

5) Tim Roth's character in Reservoir Dogs (intense, smart and slightly vulnerable)

6) John Cusack's character in Say Anything

Both characters are such pussies, for lack of a better word. I don't get the love.

I've had a long-time crush on Frank Miller's Dark Knight, which they so kindly made into movies with hottie, Christian Bale.

I've also fallen in love with characters in novels like Howard Roark.

King Leonidas in 300, did it for me.

So...no...you are not alone!

Howard Roark?

What is it with that guy and you girls?

Nope.. you're absolutely normal...

for years I was torn between Popeye and Pluto..

I don't like him. He's too soul-less and self-absorbed. He doesn't seem human.

Edward Cullen is a defanged vampire. The author stripped away all of what makes vampires sexy. There's no sense of danger.

I think Spike is far hotter.

No vampire show will beat Buffy. I always liked Oz. And he was short guys! :)

Haha. I was obsessed with Buffy when I was 19. I used to watch it religiously. I agree that it beats Twilight hands down.

Another fictional character I used to have a mini crush on is Michael Furey from James Joyce's "The Dead." He's only described briefly, but he's basically the idealized embodiment of young, hopeless love. As Joyce describes him he seems to represent all passion and beauty in the world, not just romantic passion.

Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion, than fade and wither dismally with age. He thought of how she who lay beside him had locked in her heart for so many years that image of her lover's eyes when he had told her that he did not wish to live. Generous tears filled Gabriel's eyes. He had never felt like that himself towards any woman but he knew that such a feeling must be love. The tears gathered more thickly in his eyes and in the partial darkness he imagined he saw the form of a young man standing under a dripping tree.

He represents something that would be unhealthy in reality, but seems noble in the abstract.

What about Peter Murphy?

it would be weird if she wasnt pretty much a fit woman, just blue and with an odd nose!!

Now, if she had 8 arms and 2 heads, that might be a bit strange.

I've never fancied a cartoon, but my friend liked the cartoon Fonzie from happy Days cartoon when she was little.

How i ribbed her for that one!!

Yes, and the simple derivation is that a fit alien is definitely preferable to a fat human woman.
