dietpepsi Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 So my ex and I are now working in the same office again after i had moved somewhere else for several months. We have exchanged a couple of friendly emails, and she ended up un blocking me of facebook for whatever reason, although i did not friend request, no thank you. But today, as I'm rounding the corner about to pass her office on my way to my desk, she is walking out, barely catches me in her peripheral vison, sees us on a collison course, and jets back into her office like lightning and is all of a sudden standing up and looking down fidgeting with some papers. She obviously ducked me, I don't really get why she would act like that? I mean we've had a few friendly exchanges through email like i said, and she decided to unblock me of facebook for whatever reason, I'm obviously not a pariah anymore, its been 5 months, but is that really necessary? it seems like a "hey" or "hi" would have sufficed just fine, or just being on your way would work too. I don't understand why she would be so nervous to cross paths with me that she has to duck me, I at least thought we could be friendly in passing at work, given our recent positive contact. Which would make my work day feel much easier, then for some reason having tension when it feels like there shouldn't be any. Any thoughts on what that type of behavior means?

My personal opinion..(and only my personal opinion) is that she may be interested in someone else, you are working there again and now things are awkward for her. Maybe she doesnt want the new potential to know about you or anything you and her may have had. Thats the only thing I can think of, but unblocking you from facebook im not really sure about that one, maybe that was before the new fling (if there is one).. Us women have weird behaviors its so hard to really know whats going on with us..

This makes sense, but if you mean in the office, there aren't many men that work here, the ones that do are way too old or way too young, and i doubt they would ever even cross paths. I guess it's possible though. It's just a total lack of courtesy, I don't act like that, I'm not sure why she would. It just seems really middle school.
