Nikki Sahagin Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I've only been in love once. I'm 20 and fell in love at 17. For those that have loved again, what ages were you when you fell in love?
Bleed Internal Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 once. 18 - 21. still 21 and trying to let go of that love.
twinklecat Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Twice, when I was 17 and 19 - I'm now 24. I'm definitely coping better this time around, but it's still hard
Catseye8 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 First at 18, then at 26, then at 28 (I'm 29 now). My parents fell for each other when they were 15 and 18. They're still happily together now, forty years and three children later

At present I have found the love of my life. Mea:) Edited February 1, 2010 by Meaplus3 to add to post.

Arabella Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 15 - First true love. He was 18. Lasted for about a year and a half before it disintegrated. 15-25 - Various relationships throughout the years and I could have sworn I loved them but I don't think I did. 25 - Fell in love with my ex (he was 21). Relationship died a painful death due mainly to his mental illness and drug abuse. In retrospect, I know he was my second great love. Arabella
bananaboat11 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I've never fallen in love... only infatuation... I've fallen in something with my ex.. now we're best friends =)
DenverBachelor Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) I was around eight or nine when this girl from elementary school would follow me around and call herself my "play wife." She used to try and kiss me and I'd avoid them while telling her, "girls are gross." She eventually was able to kiss me and then I suddenly wanted to play house more often with her. Edit: Eventually we had a bad breakup and they took half the house by disassembling the Fisher Price "my first foreclosure" plastic house. We both went NC at that point. The pain of having to give her the easy-bake oven was just too heart-breaking for me since we used to change out the light bulb together. Edited February 1, 2010 by DenverBachelor

juliet1989 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 19. Infatuation at first sight. Love shortly after. I'm 21 and it's going great!
smile123 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Only once: I fell in love when I was 16. 4.5 years later and still going strong
now_what Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I fell in love at 16 and got married at 19. My ex and I were married for 30 years when he left me for another woman. He had told me before he left that he couldn't say that he loved me anymore. Nice, huh. But, he didn't hate me! Well, that's nice. I would love to find love again, someone who I could love and care for, who would love me back, instead of being selfish and distant.
Chitowngirl Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 22-I was psycho (yes I'll admit it) and at a really bad place mentally and career wise...lasted only 6 months or so..not completely over him though I know he is not my type any more and today I would not date him. 25-27-Engaged; left him due to his temper. Currently 27 and not really looking..Ideally would like to fall in love again in 3 yrs after my masters is complete and I'm ready to start a new chapter of my life.

Eeyore79 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I fell in love with my first boyfriend aged 17, and since it was the only relationship I had to compare to, I thought every relationship would be like that. If I had known how wrong I was, I would have put up more of a fight to keep him. I never really fell in love with anyone ever again. Over a decade later, I met someone who turned my head and I thought I loved him, but he was just using me and it was merely a passing infatuation. I'm now 30 and the only true love I've had in my life was this boy when I was 17. I now question whether I'm even capable of that sort of true, selfless love any more - I've learned to be too cynical and distrustful and selfish to be able to love someone like that again.
sedgwick Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 The first time I was 22, the second time I was 35. Of course I dated lots of people between them, but those are the two times I've really been IN LOVE.
