my ex dumped me after 8 years . Left my wife of 27 years to be with her. Eventually divorced to prove my commitment. I was happy being her partner in every way: raising her kids from previous marriage, sharing financial responsibilities, shared interests, great physical relationship, etc. She got fed up with the arrangement wanted marriage or nothing. I was ready to too, even had a ring picked out, but just missed my window of opportunity before her timer went off and I was told it's over, I'm not fulfilled, get out. Also couldn't stand that I was supporting ex wife financially but at a subsistance level.

Now she's engaged to someone 7 months after our break up but says nothing was going on when we were together. How can you find someone, and get to know them well enough in that time to commit to a lifetime together. Is this a rebound marriage. She's 40, I'm 15 years older.

Hate to see her leap, but says she's in love for the long haul.

I've had a very difficut time maintaing NC, I was better off not knowing. Now I'm back to square one.
