singlemom19 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 i have a load of feelings right now and need some advice to help me get thru this...my ex told me he was gonna pick up our daughter tonight at 8 30 but his gf txted me n asked if she could come n get her cause my ex mother in law wanted to see her...i was hugely against it at first but my mom said i had no control over who picked her up....does anyone knw the current law on tht? i have nothing against the gf...she is really nice but i dont want her watching her for almost 4 hrs until my ex arrives...please help

Don't do this again; you don't know that girl from Heidi Fleiss and she is of no relation to you, your daughter, or her father.

You DO have control. The visitation agreement is between YOU and YOUR ex. Not you, your ex and his g/f. You can specifically have it state that only HE and/or his mother are allowed to pick up your child.
Clep Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) I feel it would have been in proper order for your ex to consult with you about the gf picking the child up, not the gf. I personally would not release my child to he gf unless it was discussed with my ex first. I would request that in the future so you are both in the loop as to what is going on and the gf can discuss it with him. Edited February 10, 2010 by Clep Used the word ex instead of gf.
