I'm noticing a trend among guys who are dumped by a certain type of girl...

why is it that when we are dumped... 'they' the new ex fall to partying, drinking, social scene, etc, etc... when they weren't like that at all when we met them nor during our relationship with them (at least in my case)...

 

..but suddenly, we're dumped and boom... they're off.

 

Is this their type of coping mechanism? Or are we seeing their true colors (immaturity.. need to get out and vent their wild side before settling down)??

Yup my ex is doing this. Sexy photos, new hair, new make up, and is now going to parties every weekend. We use to party before we broke up but not every weekend like she is now. I dont understand how while with me she was insecure about her looks even though i told her how sexy and beautiful she was and how much of a turn on she was for me. Now shes dressing slutty when i use to beg for that. She even acts different. I dont kno that girl anymore and its especially someone i wouldnt wanna be with. I miss the old her and i want that girl back. She is 22 and we were together for 3 years. Im 19.

That's not true! I'm 24, and I'm not out partying or going wild...but I've never done those things.

Quite simply, it is usually a break from not only you but a need to detach completely from the relationship. They're probably trying to push a lot of their grieving and guilt away by wearing a completely different hat.

 

As a matter of fact, the first major sign of serious issues in a relationship is when she starts to go out more and going to more after work happy hours. That's a very red flag. If she e-mails you that she's going to be late and is overly lovey dovey with you, she's probably in the car with her future rebound if she hasn't already done it.

NC, get fit, retail therapy, get your hair done, get out there and have fun, distract, distract, distract, and feel good about yourself, so you don't obsess about your ex. Yeah well when they dumped us they should little emotion and seemed to could care less. What do they have to get over? If the cared like we did then they would have stayed to work things out. I didnt keep her from going out to bars and i didnt tell her no. Yeah i didnt like it, but its because i wasnt old enough. Its not like she has to live some freedom that she already didnt have. She wants to be all sexy and have that confidence boost...well i could have given it to her. I stuck with her through thick and thin, yeah we both had gained weight and ill be honest she didnt look as good as she did when we first started dating, but i still thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. It got to the point to where she would get mad if i told her she was sexy or beautiful because she didnt think so...They're just selfish.
