Am I too needy?

So I've been dating this guy I met in an online game (World of Warcraft) for about 3-4 months now, seeing each other in real life and all that. We've known each other at least 5 months. We've live fairly close to each other, about 1 hour away, but it is not always convenient to see each other whenever we want. In the beginning we used to always do things together in the game and now we never do anything. I always ask him but he's always busy or doesn't even respond at times. I am also almost always the one to call him...rarely it is him. I ended up just drastically cutting down on how much I call him, now 3 times a week. We still see each other in real life on average once a week. I feel I am getting bored because he doesn't give me as much attention and talks to his friends alot more...do you think I am being too needy? What do you think I should do about all this? Yes I ended up talking to him openly saying I felt a little jealous about his friends, he just said he enjoyed talking to me and I shouldn't worry, but I am feeling bored with the relationship. I really don't know what to do, I really do love him but the spark seems to be dying is this normal?

No, I don't think you are too needy. I think you are getting hardly any attention and realising you don't want that kind of a set up long term. I don't blame you. Seeing as how you have already talked to him and told him your feelings..and how in the first place he already makes any effort with you..but even after you trying to do the right thing and communicating..I'd say do what you think is best but unless you want to be in this situation long term- reconsider wether this Rs is right for you.
