LondonS Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Ok the scenario is... a guy who is 41..never married, no kids, very succesful, starts online dating looking for the age range of 26-37 years old women. ( prefers younger women because he wants kids).. Now this friend of mine is very shy although handsome.. what are his chances of success?? p.s. He is also rather reluctant to write to women first on the dating website he uses....
Eeyore79 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I think 26 is probably a bit young... some 26yo women might consider it, but in general they'll see a man in his forties as an old man. They might date him for his money but I doubt if they'd be up for a serious relationship and kids, plus there would be something of a generation gap. I'm 30 and I'd be dubious about dating a man of 41, although I might be persuaded if he looked young for his age. Never being married and having no kids is a huge plus in my book though - there's no way I'd date him if he had an ex-wife and/or kids, but I might be persuaded if he had no baggage. I'd recommend that he restrict his age range to around 30-37, and emphasise that he is up for a serious relationship and kids, because many women might think that an unmarried guy of that age is a player or doesn't want kids and marriage etc. Not writing to women first is a bit of a problem though, because women get a lot of messages on dating sites and they don't always bother to approach guys, they often wait for guys to approach them.
Author LondonS Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 i kind of feel the same way about his age range selection haha. May be because he is succesful and rather handsome, he thinks he can pull a young chick lol
