Citizen Erased Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I pee maybe 3 times a day, always have and I drink a lot of water now. I'm like a camel or something.
Leia Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Ok, I peed 6 times today and I drank about 2 bottles of water. For each pee session, it was a long one . Is that normal?
SophieA Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I LOVE water. It's all I drink. I would say I drink about a gallon a day. I probably pee 8-10 times a day.
Kamille Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I went for my annual check up this week and asked my doctor how often I should pee. She looked at me completely weird and basically ignored the questions (after ruling out diabetes by testing my sugar level). I figure she didn't want to tell me because it must vary greatly from individual to individual, as this thread shows.
Author Star Gazer Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 It's not peeing itself that's important, it's how much water you're drinking that's making you pee that's important. My doctor said that if you're not peeing at least 5-6 times a day, you're not taking in enough water. I realized that yeah, I don't pee nearly that much, and that yeah, I barely drink water. She also told me that I'd be peeing like crazy once I increased my water intake because it would be flushing out all the water my body was holding onto because it wasn't getting enough, bu that over time I'd level out around the 5-6 times mark. Before increasing my water intake, I peed like 3, maybe 4 times a day. Morning, mid-day, nighttime. When I increased my water intake, for about a week I was peeing like 8 times a day. But now here here I am, drinking about 2.5 L of water a day, and peeing 5-6 times a day.
Author Star Gazer Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Well, the more liquids you drink the more you pee. It also depends on how many hours you are up everyday. 3-4 times per day doesn't sound all THAT bad, but if you up for over 12 hours everday (which I assume you are) then you probably aren't drinking a lot of liquids. That's exactly what my doctor said.
