Before and after pics please. Remember to cycle or your nuts will shink and you'll lose your hair. I have nothing against 'roids if they're done correctly... but most dudes don't do 'em correctly.

I can understand that many people ( both men and women ) don't want to be hit on at gym. However IMO that is still no excuse to be rude to another person. In that situation, I would have politely answered the question. Then resume my workout.

Absolutely. It's pretty trivial to be polite while subtly indicating that you're not really interested in conversation. Never mind that a gentle expression of interest is hardly an insult.

Don't sweat it GL. You wouldn't want someone like that anyway. Besides, justice is on the way: The day's not long off when the girl in question will be on the wrong side of 30. Then comes the wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I believe there's an old Japanese simile that goes "Girls are like Christmas Cake: Fresh until the 25th." ;)

Yeah I did some research and got some information before I bought. I believe I know how to do them properly.

This explains why my ex is busy starving himself, taking testosterone boosters, wearing button up shirts that are tight on his arms, trying to be a cocky *******, playing WoW, and hates dating--all because he's under 5'10.

I would have never guess that.

I just have to butt in here for a second because I'm tired of guys who keep blaming their height on not getting women.

I have a friend who is about 5'7" or 5'8". He has red hair, freckles, and is without a doubt the biggest ladies man I know. He has a confidence and a way with women that I would pay good money to be able to have myself. He has (had) absolutely NO problem picking up women. He's now married.

I'm 6' tall and most likely better looking than him. But he was easily 3 times as successful with women than me, because he knew how to talk to them. He was as smooth and charming as any guy I've ever seen, and his charm actually got ME laid a few times by getting girls back to the house.

So stop the self pity BS and actually learn how to talk to girls. Emulate someone you know who is good with women if you have to. Watch how they interact with women and copy it.

Or go to Mexico and risk your life for some crackpot surgery and STILL not get women because you can't talk to them.

Can't tell you how many times, over the 15 years I've been on the 'net, I've read a thread that goes:

Post A: Dude complains that he can't get women because he's short.

Post B: Someone tells about "a friend" who's short and lists examples of all the women he gets.

It's an internet staple!

Thats the reason why I ignore "i got a friend" replies.

Then sit home and feel sorry for yourself, I couldn't care less.

First off OpenGL, I give you credit for trying. That women was either a bitch or just plain scared of talking to people. I don't think you did anything wrong.

Unfortunately, the gym sucks now as a place to meet people. Even the chiseled athletes can have trouble. Many women more or less are in the mindset of showing up with iPod on, doing their workout, and leaving with the hope not one guy bothers them.

Many will see themselves as "ugly" in the gym. Had female friends tell me of some guy who hit on them, and I ask why they have a problem with it. They'll reply how they were looking horrible, all sweaty, hair a mess, etc. I'm talking here of how the women saw themselves...not the guy.

It's silly and insecure, but it happens now. In my opinion the gym has become a very antisocial place.

Don't give up...seek other avenues. I give you major credit for trying. Many guys would not have. Some would just say "she's shallow" when they didn't even try.

I agree with D-Jam. I don't think you did anything wrong. She acted quite rude -- not the type of girl you want anyway. I know that I'd feel a bit self-conscious if a girl tried to chat me up in the gym when I was covered in sweat or something and grunting my ass off or panting for breath on the treadmill. Either way, though, her reaction speaks more to her faults than it does yours. Shrug it off and keep plugging away, man.

I would of thought some women don't like talking to anyone at the gym. Especially when they are all sweaty and feel dirty right off a treadmill.
