albertaguy Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Is this normal? Legitimate? Has it happened to you? I have found a few times in the past years that I have come across a random woman, and even know we don't say a word to each other, when we happen to lock eyes it just feels different! There's a positive vibe there for some reason! And it is odd, it's not like when you see a really attractive woman walking down the street and you check her out. It could be a seemingly average girl who you wouldn't normally awe at, but you just feel some sort of connection there for some reason! I'm sure some of you have experienced this? I have never actually pursued the connection feeling before however I somewhat regret not acting on it. Thoughts?

I knew before I even met him that there was something different about him. I could feel it. It was very strange. No one believes me when I tell them that either. He has also said he felt the same way about me when he first saw me. He was my first true love.
amagordos Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 It happened to me to once. This guy in the metrolink was staring at me and i was staring at him. I liked him and I could tell he liked me too, but after we got off the metrolink, we never spoke to each other again.

So what happened???
Outcast Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 It's happened to me several times. It's been happening more often these past couple of years. Unfortunately, the people I've been having instant connections with have been married or otherwise taken. I don't go there, so nothing has come of them.
greatgirlfriend Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Yes. The most recent one is with the guy I am having issues with. We'd been friends for years but recently saw each other after a few years and just clicked right away. That's why I am hesitant to dump him though he's playing games. I'd say 99% of the guys I met after speaking to online/on the phone there was no instant chemistry and nothing clicked even after speaking to them for awhile. Chemistry isn't all about looks either since some of these guys were hot and the one I want is funny looking.
annxxdisaster Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 It's never happened to me, I can't say why? Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm never really physically attracted to anyone until we've been talking to a while or gotten to know each other a little better. But both my ex's said that they felt something for me when they first saw me or had that instant connection/in awe moment.
Meaplus3 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Yes. It happened to me last winter in a grocery store. This guy and I locked eyes. It felt as if I knew him forever.. it was a very odd feeling. We just gazed at one another and then each turned around and looked again. That was it. Never ran into him again. I'll always remember that. I too often regret not acting on it. I could have followed him to the dairy isle or something and struck up a conversation. Oh well. I think sometimes these things just happen. What it means?? I'm not really sure. Mea:)
clueless haha Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 ive had a few, "eye lock" scenarios over the past twelve months, the most recent is from this new girl at church, she's a good looking lass too, sudden feelings of lust had certainly filled my mind at that moment and all i could do was feel guilty
In_Repair Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 It's nothing more than eye contact mixed with mutual physical lust.
Author albertaguy Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 It's nothing more than eye contact mixed with mutual physical lust. I disagree, because the few times it has happened to me the girl was definitely somebody I wouldn't normally be physically attracted to. Physical attration had absolutely nothing to do with the "moment". It just feels like a connection, is the best I can explain it.
Fouts Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 It happens on occasion, but I don't think it leads to any different of an experience. One half opens their mouth and immediately turns the other one off for good, like alot of regular non-connection meetings
