Few days ago, I was at the hospital ( in the nurses station) and one of the nurses asked me if I have had lunch....I said "no not yet"...she told me "oh don't order lunch". I assumed there was food available somewhere. About 20 minutes later, she came back and handed me a Mcdonald's Happy Meal...ahm....huh?

Then she said it was from this new Resident, Dr. so and so..ok..but a "Happy meal?' What is he trying to say, I asked myself...whatever....I said thank you.

In the "happy meal" bag, there was a hamburger, french fries and a toy-alvin, the chipmunk. Then the Resident came by and asked me if I got my lunch, I said yes, thank you (still with a puzzled look on my face, I am sure)..then he asked if I played the toy on. I haven't but he said to turn it on then left. So I did. The chipmunk said "hey gorgeous"! -in the alviny, squeeky voice...the nurses in the station all laughed and thought it was very cute....hmmm...ok...

This is what I thought:

1) some balls...and a Resident!

2) nip in the bud....cute maneuver but not interested.

So what do you guys think about this kind of cute but cheesy way of a pick up maneuver?

That's really cool! He's definitely into you!

The cheesiest move I ever made was ... oh nevermind, now that I think about it, it crashed and burned and I shouldn't mention it.

EDIT: Ah I didn't realize it's the same place you work at. Hmm... that does take some balls. However, I have done it in the past, where I just leave a bag of her favorite chip in her cube after she told me what she liked. But that was a wild ride.

Oh my god...that's adorable! Why don't guys do that for me?

Because people like the OP and others consider it cheesy if she is not attracted and it's not worth the effort when we try to do something innovative and get shot down.

it was...but whatever...I can take it!

No, I have never gone on dates with anybody from work. I am a very private person and like the two(private life, work), separate.

Sorry again if I've offended, Tami - there's an exception: if the two of you work in different departments, that may be just enough separation for some kind of relationship.

FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was in high school. This is extremely embarrassing and I usually don't open up on the INTERWEB like this.

It's quick and dirty, but don't try this.

It was raining, I was naive and stupid. I've been hanging out with this girl for like 6 months. I really liked her, and during high school it was at a stage where I don't know if she liked me or not, never really made a move... until June 2nd, 1998.

It was raining, not very hard. I brought my umbrella. We usually wait outside for each other after class is over and walk together.

So I was waiting... and she came out, I offered to have her under my umbrella... so I stood next to her, opened my umbrella over both of us...

OH GOD NO! I CAN'T DO THIS I CAN'T DO THIS

Then... like magic.. from a fair tale... What is this?! A single rose falls out from the umbrella?! It landed luckily on my hand and I offered it to her! And I asked her out!!!

This is when the fairy tale music kicks in and a whole dance routine comes with happy and joy.

Not really, she said she's not ready for a relationship, walked over to her parents' car along with all other people waiting in the parking lot that probably saw me.

What follows was an extremely sad sight.

*sad music*

It was a gloomy day, as I lowered my umbrella in the rain, watching her parents drive her away... rain drops hid my tears.

There HAPPY? ChEESY?!? I hope you can eat dinner tonight, because I won't! *CRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS*

Yeah, and mastering the rejection made you the self-assured, confident man you are today, right?

She would have been yours if instead of a rose it had been a condom. :lmao:

That experience definetly taught me something. I was never the same again after wards... for the better! :D

Ah, Tami is off playing with pandora now, she will be gone for weeks.

So, I have a problem with pizza, and since you are the pizzaman maybe you can help.

I have no problem with frozen pepperoni pizzas, as the pepperoni is generally equally distributed across the pie. On the "multi meat" pizzas however, the little ham and sausage pieces get all clumped up and there is not enough pepperoni to get an aesthetically pleasing pattern of pepperoni on the pie. How does one deal with this?

I had a Manhattan Red Clam Pizza today.. it was GOOOOOOOD.

Ya man, you buy your pizzas from where? You need to get it from those street vendors. They are usually the best.

If you do not want to look at toppings, I suggest Chicago style pizza pies.
