Author alphamale Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 In my experience, all men from India and Middle Eastern typically want to hold a girl's hands during the first date. Sometimes, Italians and Latinos want to do that on the second date. No White american men wanted to do that with me. thats sort of a sweeping generalization innit?
Awesome Username Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 thats sort of a sweeping generalization innit? I had a man massage my hand with popcorn butter while sitting through a horror movie. It was the creepiest experience ever. But I do think that a lot of light physical intimacy such as holding hands is very cultural. You are comfortable with what you grew up with in that regard, usually. I wish you luck Alpha, you seem to be really perceptive of her emotions and that's why she was probably happy to hold hands with you!
Author alphamale Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 But I do think that a lot of light physical intimacy such as holding hands is very cultural. well we were in a movie, i would have preferred to put my arm around her but shes very short and that would have been awkward while sitting next to each other
SadandConfusedWA Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Hey alpha, what didn't you like about Up in the Air?
Johnny M Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I had a man massage my hand with popcorn butter while sitting through a horror movie. It was the creepiest experience ever. Hahaha....massage your hand with popcorn butter?? I'm sorry but this is hilarious
meerkat stew Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Hahaha....massage your hand with popcorn butter?? I'm sorry but this is hilarious At least if she got arrested that night, she could slip out of the handcuffs and make a getaway.
Author alphamale Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Hey alpha, what didn't you like about Up in the Air? it was just blah, well made but the story didn't pack any emotion
Author alphamale Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 so i send maureen a text on tuesday saying: "I had a fun time sun nite and i hope we can do it again sometime" She hasn't replied. Should i expect a reply or am i being blown off? I think i'm being blown off. Oh well there are other chicks.

I think so too.. if she calls you at this point you were an after thought or second choice when her preferred plans fell thru. Dude.. you really needed to kiss her I just wanted to requote my earlier post..
Author alphamale Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Yeah... I think so too.. if she calls you at this point you were an after thought or second choice when her preferred plans fell thru. i called her today and left a message - no reply so far. if i don't hear from her by monday i'll write her off
Hot Carl Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Getting blown off sucks. By "blown off" I mean ignored. It isn't really all that wonderful having to blow someone off (again: ignore). Dating is tough.
Author alphamale Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Getting blown off sucks. By "blown off" I mean ignored. rejection is the key to success HC
Hot Carl Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 rejection is the key to success HC I agree. I've only ever had any success after I've gotten comfortable with failure.
Author alphamale Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 yea so she sent me a txt saying "thanks but no chemistry" which is what i figured. i told her no problem. so we can scratch this one
Barky Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Dude no offense but this was awful. How can I count the ways? 1) No movie dates until you've been together for 3 months. 2) Your first date should be hors d'oeuvres and drinks near your place or hers, and possibly near a secluded, romantic "staging area" where you can make out between drinking and before taking her back to your/her place so she can see that you're a good kisser. 3) You took her on a bland, boring date with no sexual tension and probably not much intimate conversation. Holding hands in a movie is for high-schoolers and people who've been married for 20 years. 4) Did you screen her to see if she was warm or frigid or anything beforehand? Or were you so excited that you had a date with a girl, any girl, that you didn't elicit what turns her on? Overall bad. You're not living up to your name at all. Very disappointing. Standard date for a guy in his teens.

Barky Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Sitting next to a person in a darkened theater is not a good way to get to know them, IMHO. Your first month or two should be spent wearing each other out in bed, not watching screens.
deux ex machina Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 ...you have to be together 3 months before you go see a movie? Hmmm...I wonder why Barky thinks that.

meerkat stew Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Agree with barky for sure on the movie dates. First dates where you can move around and play off each other are best, with an interlude of a martini or wine sitting at a bar somewhere and maybe some appetizers.
