Mark2134 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Hi all! So the next time I visit my girlfriend in Miami, I want it to be a complete surprise. We've both discussed that when I next visit it would be around March/April time, but this time I want to just turn up and surprise her completely instead of her picking me up from the airport However, I can't visit her at her dad's house as it's too far and taxi is far too expensive to get there, so the only option is for her to meet me where my hotel will be (South Beach Miami - near lots of restaurants/shops/busy area)...so, how do I get her to be say outside the restaurant where we had our first date without her realising that i'll be there to surprise her!? I could get her friend to take her but I'd prefer if it was just her. Any ideas?
socalgurl012 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 OMG this is very sweet and cute!!! Could you get a friend of hers to ask her to meet said friend at the restaurant for dinner or whatever reason???
Author Mark2134 Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Yea, I could get her friend who is also my very good friend to arrange to meet just near the restaurant and then surprise her... Or I could call her when I arrive and say something like 'Oh hey could you do me a favour...pick me up from the airport I just landed' I want it to be a big surprise, but without her suspecting something strange first. Any other ideas?
aerogurl87 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Sounds sweet as long as you make sure in advance that she will actually be available to see you beforehand. With that said, when I was in a LDR with my ex I surprised him on his birthday. What I did was had him come visit me (it was our first time meeting) about a week before his birthday. The day he left was two days before his birthday and I remembered he kissed me goodbye and said that he'd miss me alot. Then on his way back to the airport (he took a cab) I texted him and told him I'd see him in two days and he was overjoyed. Key was though, I made sure he wasn't busy that day and we enjoyed that one day together in his hometown and he actually got to enjoy his birthday. So here's my suggestion. First make sure she isn't busy the day you come up. Secondly, tell her friend to tell her to meet her at the restaraunt for lunch or something so they can catch up on a girl's day out or something. Then show up to the restaraunt and if you can walk in behind her while she's sitting down and say something like "excuse me but were you waiting for someone?" I'm sure she'll be surprised then, and that would be super romantic.
socalgurl012 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I agree with aerogurl87 make sure first that she doesn't have any plans. I would get ur friend in on everything assuming she's not a blabber mouth. And have her find out if she has any plans during that time. OR have ur friend make plans with her for that weekend (week or whatever) so you know she will be free. My bf surprised me for my bday. He actually got into town and he knew that I was going to take a massage so he went to the massage place and made a fake note that said "I wish I was there to give you this massage. Enjoy your massage, love you". So when I got to the massage place to register or whatever the girl said to me that I had a fax. I thought a WHAT?? okay. So I read it and it was a fax from him. I thought he was going to jump out there or something. Then when I was going to pay for the massage they told me it was already paid for by the guy that called and sent the fax. So I totally thought then Oh man he really isn't here, but it was the sweetest thing. So then later that night I go to my bday dinner and while I was sitting down talking to friends he came from behind me and surprised me with my favorite flowers. It was the sweetest thing ever!!! So romantic!! He spent the rest of the evening with me and left the next day but I was the HAPPIEST GIRL in the world that day =)
Ronni_W Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Yea, I could get her friend who is also my very good friend to arrange to meet just near the restaurant and then surprise her... You mean that the friend would just PRETEND to be meeting her, right? Like, you'll be at the restaurant at, say, 6pm. And the friend will tell her, "Meet me at the restaurant at 6:20pm." But the friend won't actually show up and, instead, you'll be there when your g/f arrives. That's what you meant, right? And yeah...friend would need to set that up as soon as you know your date and flight info.
