Samantha0905 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 The Early Show on CBS is going to run a segment this morning on whether or not men who cheat can really ever change. Just thought I'd post that in case anyone who wants to watch it can. I'm on the East coast, so not sure if all of you get the same show.
Author Samantha0905 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 *sigh* Sorry -- they didn't say anything all that interesting. The "hot topic" of the past year seems to be "sex addiction." I've no doubt the condition actually exists, but I wonder how one determines whether or not someone is addicted to sex or is just a frequent philanderer?
Author Samantha0905 Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 Good job CBS. As we all know, women NEVER cheat. I actually did wonder about that myself. I wonder what the stats are on "sexual addiction" as far as men and women are concerned? I've not heard about it any in relation to females, but I'm sure it exists. I guess so far only David Duchovny and Tiger Woods are claiming the diagnosis in the celebrity realm. I think women are catching up with men somewhat on the admission of affairs front.
JAGeezer Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Here's a link to an article on bi-polar disorder linking the condition to hypersexuality and sexual addiction. Notice that the article defines the two separately. You can be hypersexual (not a good thing in and of itself) without being a sex addict. http://bipolar.about.com/cs/hypersex/a/aa_hypersex.htm JAG
