paddington bear Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 So, scientists say that men are attracted to women who look like their mothers and vice versa. Ok, so not everyone, but you do tend to see it a lot. (Here's just one article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1051981/Why-men-women-choose-partners-look-like-parents.html) Anyway, my question is, does anyone have any links to sites about this but regarding those of us brought up by single parents without a stepfather or mother to imprint on? Would I as a female, for example be more attracted to men that are similar to my mother, rather than my father (him being absent from the age of 3) or does the lack of a 2 parent family totally mess up this normal imprinting? I can't seem to find any research on this (as it's all to do with people who had both mothers and fathers when growing up) and I'm just curious.
