MissJoness Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Okay, so guys when you see a girl who is overly dressed, wearing very tight and revealing clothes (lots of makeup, hair) everyday what do you think of her? do you think she is high maintenance? is it a turn off? Do you prefer a woman who is casually dressed? I see so many young women around campus dressed like this. Some dressed like they are going to the set of a music video even though its cold outside. And yes they do exude this "i'm hot shyt" attitude. I thought guys liked girls like this because it exudes confidence.

If she's single, I know she's on the hunt. Personally, I don't care how a woman dresses. Be yourself. High maintenance to me isn't how she dresses, it's how she BEHAVES.

Same with dressing like you want that type of attention. If you dress like someone who people gawk at, and take you at face value, don't be mad if you get those type of remarks. Other than that; are you high maintenance - possibly. You clearly aren't low maintenance though.
flc Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Depends, I think a bit of makeup, nice hair and showing your cleavage and legs can look sexy and not come off bad. Too much makeup, a skirt short enough to see your thong and your blouse open to your navel, not so much
bananaboat11 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 A woman who dresses WELL... modest, attractive, stylish, MODEST, revealing very little, but enough to get a 'quick glance from others' followed by a polite smile b/c she's dressed sexy, but classy... that's attractive. A woman who dresses overtly promiscuously... cleavage... short(er) skirt... high heels... spends an hour in the mirror doing her hair... is usually seeking the attention even if she won't admit that. There MUST be some underlying issue with confidence, self-esteem, hurt in the past, poor childhood, in repair from a breakup, etc, etc... yeah, it's nice to look at... I'm a guy, but would I want to get involved in anything other than sex.... no. Would I want just sex? Probably not. I"m not like that. If I'm going to be intimate and physical.. it's going to be with someone I WANT to be with. Someone I'm attracted to physically, emotionally, intellectually, etc.
USMCHokie Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I like a woman that dresses day-to-day in whatever she's comfortable in...because comfort exudes confidence which exudes sexiness...whether it's just a t-shirt and jeans or an evening gown... Ever see someone who was obviously uncomfortable with what they were wearing...? It just looks awkward...people should be dressing for themselves, not other people... I prefer a woman that sports the casual look, but knows how to step it up when the situation calls for more...

If she's dressed like to the nines and I don't know her nor ever talked to her, then I'd just think "wow" If she's dressed more of a classy sexy casual style, like fitted jeans with a top and heeled boots, then I'd say she's a hottie. It's in her attitude that decides who she is. If she's thinking she's all that and a bag of chips, or has some spoiled/entitled attitude that the world must pay her tribute...then I'll think she's high maintenance.If she's more a lipstick feminist, then I'll think she's a snob or a hooker.If she's of very low self-esteem, then I'll think she's a headcase just ready to be used and abused by the many bad men she'll jump into bed with.If she seems very defensive, angry, and confrontational, then I'll think she's insecure.If she's down-to-Earth and cool, then I'll think she's hot...regardless if she's into me or not. Her actions also speak who she is. If she's someone I think is cool then I'll respect and think well of her. If she's someone who's perhaps a b*tch, or snob, or AW, or evil, or a drama queen...then I'll just ignore her. Sexy in my book is when you can show you're the cool girl next door, but you dress and carry yourself as a classy, but casual lady. When guys see you and realize they have to be real honest-to-goodness confident good men to get her. When you can see that a good looking douchebag has no chance with her, but she'll also respectfully reject the doormat nice guy...rather than blow him off. When you have decent to good looks but you have a brain, class, and respect for people.

She wants to be noticed by a man who has the nuts to approach her by having the same level social status in exchange for her beauty This is how she blows off the line of insecured males that approach her & tell her how beautiful she is all the time. When dressed sexy, these women do not get approached very often, ironically because most males think that they are not good enough to respond to the level of her beauty.

Ilovehim Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 i dont dress like that.. but i have to say that you sound so judgemental... i see people dress all kinds of ways and could care less... many girls wear skirts..whats wrong with that? or sometimes wear low-cut shirts...to be quite honest i havent really seen girls dress with their stomachs showing or very short shorts unless its the beach... perhaps im just not around people who dress extrememly slutty? i have seen little 15 year olds unfortunately dress like that..but girls in their 20's will dress sexy but not necessarily "slutty"... and slutty to me equals showing off half your stomach and extremely short shorts or skirts..or almost all your cleavage/boobs are out there...

carolinawanderer Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Personally, women who "flaunt" themselves turn me off immensely. I was about to message someone on online dating, then I saw a couple pictures where she was dressed like a skank and decided not to. Perhaps this is unfair, but I have this perception that a lot of women like that only want uber-macho alpha males, which I am not.
