xpaperxcutx Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 It's almost that time of the year again. Aside from the commercialism of companies advertising for you to buy their presents and chocolates, and the cliches of Hallmark cards, there's just something about the 14th that screams... " I love you this much!!!" I don't know what I'm going to do this year, aside from the fact that I am ( again) SO- free but I like to think that even my close friends appreciate a little chocolate sweetness in their lives. I was thinking mini- kisses or Rocher chocolates with mini notes that says something quirky like " Be my V lover"... Okay cliche again, but hey even single me wants likes to be a romantic. So what's everyone planning to get their husbands/wives, girlfriends/boyfriends, etc? Be imaginative, be playful because nowadays candlelit dinners don't cut it. ( But maybe a bed of roses followed by a hot oil massage and hot sex will:love:)
Clep Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I have hired a photographer who is doing several sets for me to give to my bf. Some will be nudes, others partial and some not at all. I purchased him a digital frame for his last birthday and some will go on there as that is in our room and our children don't see it. I will be setting up our room later that night with candles, wine at the tub with bubbles and jet's going. Rose petals on the bed and me in one of his ties with matching panties. He will get his pics and me. Nothing like nudity. The trip to Mexico for Valentines didn't work out for business related reasons so I had to come up with something quick. Mexico will have to come in May.

I almost did something like this (no nudes) for a bf, but then I found out one of his exs was a nude model, and another one was a stripper and I lost all my confidence/desire to do that for him.
Left in a Lurch Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Since I am single I will just buy myself a fifth of Jack and a stack of porn. Nothing says "I Love You, Self" like Jack and porn.
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm going to try to find something for his collection that he might like (he collects rare comics and books), and a book of Pablo Neruda poems. I might embroider a line or two from one of his poems and frame it. Not sure, but it is nice to be so excited about finding something this year!

I already have to write all my moves down on my arm or else I'll forget with just one person. I'm going to try to find porn with lazy girls that just kinda sit there. Makes for a nice mellow night.

TudorII Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Did you ever see the Saturday Night Live skit with Justin Timberlake, "Junk In A Box"? If not just look it up on Youtube. Simple, inexpensive and the gift that keeps on giving. Off to pick out my box and ribbon.
2sure Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I see you are also in NY, so you might consider this as a thoughtful and chocolaty gift for Valentine friends: A can of European drinking chocolate ( wonderful hot or cold) A bag of french vanilla gourmet marshmallows - try a candy shop or make your own if you're the baking kind. A small creme brulee torch (15.00) All wrapped up in a great black and white bag with a retro Valentine Card to label it. The drinking chocolate served Hot , topped with the Toasted Gourmet Marshamallows is a gift I use on occasion and a treat I absolutely cannot live without. Hot chocolate without torched marshmallows is now not even worth having.
