Pizzaman81 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Today i finished moving my last furniture and settled down at my new place. So I was browsing around town and went into this restaurant for lunch. Ok this waitress is extremely cute, and yours truly ordered the "New York Eggs with Sunny Side Up Steak... err.. " she looked confused had this smirk on her face.. "New York Steak..." and I finished her sentence.. "with sunny side up EGGS!" ok so i admit I got a bit nervous around her. The bus girl brought over the food and I started eating. The waitress came over and had this shocking look on her face. "Wow, that's a HUGE steak you got there!" She said, with her eyes bulging out like she just saw something amazing. "Thank you!" I replied and smiled back She left. And then I realized.. what the hell, why did I thank her for that?! A slip by me! Anyway, I'm returning maybe next week, and I am going to strike a conversation with her.
zebracolors Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 See, if I were a man and in that situation, and could tell we both recognized the humor in it, I would have boldly replied "Why yes it is!" Kidding aside, hope that goes well for you Pizzaman.
tami-chan Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 LOL...pizzaman!!!! What will you order next time?
Author Pizzaman81 Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 LOL...pizzaman!!!! What will you order next time? Probably the Miso Potatoes with Mashed Salmon!
Marek Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Anyway, I'm returning maybe next week, and I am going to strike a conversation with her. Why? She made a passing comment on your food. I wouldn't count that as invitation to "chat up" a waitress. Maybe things are a bit different in San Fran, but where I'm from you don't chat up strangers who are doing their job (or any stranger, for that matter).
