longlegzs80 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I have been going to the gym for the past several months, and lately I have been slacken alittle. But when it comes to my legs, they are firm with muscle, but the muscle is not defined and I do everything for my legs to build muscle, but now I am trying to figure out how to get my legs into shape and maybe drop some pounds in my legs along with getting more definition. Please help me out, I am totally at my wits end in trying to figure out what kinds of excersizes to do to help out my legs. I never used to have this leg problem either. They used to look great and were nice and slender. I am a tall person, but with my calves filling out and my thighs filling out, it is just a mess situation. What can I do? Does pilates, yoga, aerobics work?
Kat Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 If you want to define I would suggest bike riding, running, or roller blading. If you want to build I would suggest squats, leg presses, and calve lifts (stand on tip toe and raise yourself up and down)
Author longlegzs80 Posted December 29, 2003 Author Posted December 29, 2003 Kat: I have done everything from being on a bike at the gym, to doing calve lifts, to walking at a decent rate of speed, to the eliptical at the gym. So, I do alot that deals with the legs. That is my main focus. Reason being is I am busting out of all my pants, so last week or so I had to buy jeans again, another reason is I have a wedding I have to go to in MAY and I want to wear a dress and look sexy gorgeous, so I am focusing on my whole body but mostly my legs. I don;t know what else to do.
Kat Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I am currently combating my hips and thighs with a excersise ball. I have found my calves got into and stayed in great shape by playing indoor soccer (futsal)
O'neal Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I would strongly recommend jogging every night for about 15-30mins. It does your body a lot of good and your legs get a lot of work-out too. Also, soccer or football really does help too, as you are constantly running and excercising your leg musles.
