DenverBachelor Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Tell me what you think. My mind is full bursting over With all these things I can’t remember Every little single memory reminds me of you My eyes were weary with all these tears You left your shadow in my dreams And all my doubts seem to disappear when you came along Flowers melting up into the sky Hear my heart where our love colides We hear the songs we found in the times we lost our way Gentle memories replace our tears All the love we had is still right here We hear the songs we found in the time we lost our way From without words can not describe What caused the stars to fall deep inside Every little single memory reminds me of you Our days are gone lost forever Reflecting light glistening under water Naturally this could be everything that seems so unreal Flowers melting up into the sky Hear my heart where our love colides We hear the songs we found in the time we lost our way Gentle memories replace our tears All the love we had is still right here We hear the songs we found in the time we lost our way Flowers melting up into the sky Hear my heart where our love colides We hear the songs we found in the time we lost our way Gentle memories replace our tears All the love we had is still right here We hear the songs we found in the time we lost our wa
McGrupp Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 not to be to chicky but these songs get me through. found them on a mix my sis gave me years ago... I wanna see you tonight What's the point? All we do is fight I've loved you So long I don't know who I'd be without My head hurts I wish I'd never woke up I feel worse than when S Club 7 broke up I hate the day It hates me So does everybody else I sit here drooling on my own again and like a routine episode of Friends What does it mean to be American? Is it feelings, coffee and I'll be there for you? Later on me and a bottle will hook up to have some fun Then I'll call your house at twelve to let you know that I'm drunk Say I'm sorry Mr C, I was just looking for your son How are you, incidentally, do you know if he's out alone? There is this book he lent to me something like seven months ago I'm gonna burn it in the street be so kind as let him know that I'm dealing with this badly and could he please get back to me? Since you've gone my only friends are Billy Bragg and the Jam Though my time with you has got me feeling oh so k.d. lang I think you're right about the New Kids on the Block And I agree now Billy Joel does not rock Wish I could tell you all the things that Woody Allen helps me see How Annie Hall is starting to seem quite a lot like you and me It took a while to come around to David Bowie's new CD And it's much too late to give back your Magnetic Fields EP Can I keep it by my pillow? ****ing loved it How I long to tell you so When I get to sleep I'll dream again of canopies and grapes And wake shaking from the knowledge that the mattress holds your shape I assume my phone is dead because it hasn't rung for months If tomorrow is the funeral do you think that you could come? I could give you back your music and your t-shirts and your socks Walk to Jazz's house in SOHO cry into her letter box Spend some time out to resuscitate my soul Take up smoking and drink carrot juice and grow Teach the mattress to expel you from its folds Then dry my eyes and keep on walking til the motion makes me strong Until one day i realise I don't remember that you're gone We'll be strangers who were lovers I'll recover It's so weird how time goes on this one is kick ass Sometimes in the morning I am petrified and can't move Awake but cannot open my eyes And the weight is crushing down on my lungs I know I can't breathe And hope someone will save me this time And your mother's still callin you insane and high Swearin it's different this time And you tell her to give in to the demons that possess her That god never blessed her insides Then you hang up the phone and feel badly for upsetting things Crawl back into bed to dream of a time When your heart was open wide and you love things just because Like the sick and dying And sometimes when you're on You're really ****in on And your friends they sing along And they love you But the lows are so extreme That the good seems ****in cheap And it teases you for weeks in its absence But you'll fight and you'll make it through You'll fake it if you have to And you'll show up for work with a smile You'll be better And You'll be smarter And More grown up and a better daughter or son And a real good friend And you'll be awake You'll be alert You'll be positive though it hurts And you'll laugh and embrace all your friends And you'll be a real good listener You'll be honest You'll be brave You'll be handsome and you'll be beautiful You'll be happy Your ship may be comin in You're weak but not givin in To the cries and the wails of the valley below And your ship may be comin in You're weak but not givin in And you'll fight it you'll go out fightin all of em btw ive seen thievery at some festival sand they kick some serious ass. good dance parties

Thievery Corporation is amazing. I saw them in concert in Washington D.C. a few years ago and they played with Astrud Gilberto. It was like witnessing all the planets align. If you like that song, you may also like this one as well (same band) :
teanoranges Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 haha, that was definitely one of the ones I was checking out! and "Until the Morning" I hate listening to sad break-up songs, but I'm also not into the 'I'm so over you' songs. These were a beautiful in between. They're full of love and a lullaby for the heart (relaxing), I guess.

I like them because they're sort of like, "we broke up, but life goes on and the memories will live on." It isn't depressing and it isn't hateful.
