sugarmomma Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 He suggested that our first meeting be at my church since I had given him an invitation (I only did so because he said that he couldn't find a church that he liked) and I agreed. I asked him if he is usually promt and he saud that he was. He was supposed to be there at 11 and texted me at that time to say that he had gotten stopped by the cops. He arrives at 12. I didn't make a big deal out of it. After service I asked about his cop experience and he didn't seem to be honest but Iknow he could have been telling the truth, so I didn't push it. He asks if I would like to go to breakfast afterwards and we had a great time. He hugged me when we got to my car and seemed fairly interested. He texted the same day saying that he had a great time. I replied the same. I texted the next day around 6p just saying hi and responds around 7ish that he would love to chat later. I say ok give me a call around 9 I should be settled in by then. He says okay but didn't call and left a message the next evening (yesterday) saying that he fell asleep before 9 (we had just texted at 730). I have not returned the call yet and not sure if I will. I mean its possible that he fell asleep but I just think its rude to say you're gonna do something and don't. We just met and he has already been late and told me he would call and didn't. I think this guy bears watching. Thoughts?
2sure Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Well, I can tell you from experience that being stopped by the cops for a traffic violation doesnt make one an hour late. So, unless he had his car towed or was drunk - an hour?? I mean, if he was on time to begin with and was going to be in the church by 11...nope, dont buy it. AND getting stopped by the cops for 30 mins or more...would come with a story of some kind. This was your first date. And then he says he will call, doesnt, and makes up another excuse. Three words: Lose My Number
