Malibu_Harlee Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I’m just looking on advice on how to interpret this situation.... This weekend I went to a house party and had a few drinks. There was this guy there, obviously really drunk, who kept hitting on me and making out with me. We eventually went back to his place, and yes, we had sex. But I didn’t have the “walk of shame” the next morning. We pretty much just hung out together all day when we woke up. We had some small chat, cuddled, and watched TV throughout the day. Both being completely sober at this point. He announced to me that I was the first girl he ever took home that he did not know. When I left in the evening, he asked for my phone number and gave me his. He also asked to add me on Facebook earlier that day. So yesterday, he comes onto Facebook and starts apologizing to me for him being persuasive with me into having sex. Saying he is “not that kind of guy”, that he was really sorry, and that he is going to cut down on drinking and take it easy from now on. He also said we can still be friends...? So here’s where I’m confused. Is him apologizing for that night him wanting nothing more to do with me? The low self-esteem in me is thinking so; I’m not pretty enough for him, he’s embarrassed in taking “me” home. Or is him apologizing a way for him to start fresh with me and see where it goes?
