Hot Carl Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 There are a lot of people in the world who don't laugh a whole lot. They might have pretty good senses of humor, but they just don't laugh. I find them disconcerting. I feel more comfortable when people show a bit of mirth.
Devil Dog Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I'll laugh when I find something funny, which may not seem like often compared to everyone else, but then again I don't constantly giggle, or laugh when one of my friends makes a simple statement. Or at retarded stuff. Just isn't funny.
Lovelybird Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I agree a person who shows a bit of mirth is easy to get along with. Recently I met opposite situation. The people on the site I visit never show any negativeness, don't share the negativeness in their lives, I am frustrated by that, as if they all wear masks, but there are several still real
D-Lish Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I feel uncomfortable around people that have no sense of humour.
carhill Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 My stbx used to always say 'I'm laughing inside' *sigh* It was all part of that emotional distance thing. Kinda sad, and not in a disparaging sort of way....
whichwayisup Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Laughing daily is so important. It relieves stress and makes ya feel better! I love to laugh..Infact, sometimes when I'm by myself and something I do happens that's funny, I have to call my H, or my sis, or my bestfriend just to share so I can hear their reaction..laughter.. It sucks when people don't laugh often, they have no idea how much they're missing out on.
D-Lish Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Unfortunately I have to work closely with a woman that doesn't laugh, and rarely cracks a smile. I'm animated and happy 90% of the time, and she's apathetic at the best of times. She makes me feel like being happy or having fun is a crime. I hate the woman.
whichwayisup Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Sometimes I sneeze and fart (by accident) at the sametime and it kills me, and I can't stop laughing. Unfortunately...? This has happened to me at work and in other public places. All ya can do is laugh it off.. It is funny. D, I hate her too. Infact, why not go out of your way to try to crack her!! Make her smile, then once that's accomplished, make her laugh.
Author Hot Carl Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 If that doesn't work, then try to make her cry.
Lovelybird Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I hate fake people, who pretending everything is fine
Author Hot Carl Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 They are God's children, too, Lovelybird. Just maybe confused about how to act.
lord alfred douglas Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I hate fake people like manequins?

D-Lish Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I hate her, too, D. And that's why I love you! Sometimes I sneeze and fart (by accident) at the sametime and it kills me, and I can't stop laughing. Unfortunately...? This has happened to me at work and in other public places. All ya can do is laugh it off.. It is funny. D, I hate her too. Infact, why not go out of your way to try to crack her!! Make her smile, then once that's accomplished, make her laugh. Oh geez, I have a similar problem with laughing and farting- when I laugh I relax and sometimes forget to squeeze:lmao: I tried to crack her in the beginning, but she is far too serious. I'll say something funny and she'll stare at me like I'm retarded:mad: She's very angry at life. If that doesn't work, then try to make her cry. She'd punch me;)
Lovelybird Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Now I know they are just hard wired that way, they begin to treat me as I am on the other side I think the relationship they have with each other is very superficial, like machine, say what are supposed to say
Malenfant Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Where i work I dont get much opportunity to laugh because the people i work with are a bit dull. It makes the day drag so much because no-one is really up for a laugh. the people at my old job used to have me crying with laughter every day. I stayed 10 years at a job where my bosses treated me like sh*t, simply because of the great laughs we had. that means a lot to me. If caught unawares by something extremely funny, i laugh very, very loudly, a real belly laugh, and have actually been told off for it!!!

The expression 'bulldog chewing a wasp' was made for her. I still hate her soo much even though its been years since i saw her!! you have my utmost sympathies.
ann09 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Laughter is part of my life. I have even found through the hardest of times, I need humor even more.
deux ex machina Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 There are a lot of people in the world who don't laugh a whole lot. They might have pretty good senses of humor, but they just don't laugh. I find them disconcerting. I feel more comfortable when people show a bit of mirth. I can relate. Sharing a laugh is one of the best things in life. If someone doesn't laugh with you, the flows of things isn't harmonious. A buzz kill, really. One thing I really equate humor with is generosity. For good or for ill, I always think of those who lack a shared sense of humor - or those that might try to be funny, but it hits an oddly discordant note - to be lacking in a certain warmth or generosity of spirit.
Lovelybird Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 They are God's children, too, Lovelybird. You are right, Hot Carl ! Today we are on good terms, unbelievable ! One of their members even said that I am wanted there. People are strange sometimes. I felt like I wanted to peel their thick-smiling-layers and see their hearts, good fight
