It has been a month since the break up, and a solid three weeks of no contact. This is the best and simplest break up i have ever had. Neither of us suffer from any sort of deliusion that we can be friends, i am not angry, it just feels as though things are back to normal.

i do not want to mess this up, the road we are on is a good one, it is one i have never traveled before, but one that i will follow again in the future, given the opportunity (hopefully i do not have to worry about that again...)

so, i was cleaning the basement and getting things ready for the remodel, when i stumbled across some tools that belong to his dad. also, his voter registration card came in the mail (i rubbed off on him apparently).

What do i do?

Call?

Text?

Should I be there when he comes to pick it up?

Should i leave it on the porch for him?

Should i wait a little longer, and give it back in a few months?

We have no mutual friends, so there is no options to have it passed along through those means. I could mail it to him? But that seems possibly cold (maybe?) and expensive.

I do not want to ruin no contact, but the things need to be returned to their proper owner. Advice?

I guess you could always email a short note. Indicating you stumbled across his tools, and want to get them back to him. Ask him when he could swing by to get them and you will leave them on your porch that day..

Not after only 3 weeks of no contact...

These are not items that he is asking for and items that are not essential for his everyday living.

If it were me..first I would sit on it for many more weeks till you get some serious NC under your belt then...

Mail him the voting card..

The tools.. if they are fairly light.. then ground ship them to him or if they are too heavy to ground ship then email him and ask him about him picking them up off your porch..

Whatever you do wait and give more time to NC to let more healing happen first.
