:p Just a rider to add - that although these were PROPORTIONALLY the greatest category, in absolute numbers, they were still fairly few. I don't have the details with me, but I took quite a big chunk of time, and there were not that many cases in total within that time frame of "passion killings" of any sort (and, let's face it, if there was a hint of that it would have come out in the trial - either as an aggravating factor by the prosecution ["Your Honour, you can tell that this guy had conscious intent; after all, he ruthlessly decieved his poor W for decades, and was even overheard telling someone he wished she was dead!"] or as mitigation by the defence ["But, your Honour, we need to remember that my client was a mere slip of a girl, barely 16, when she was driven to act in this way, manipulated as she was by the true villain - the older MM who took advantage of her naive innocence, promising her a life together 'if only his awful W were not in the way'..."] so it's unlikely that many of them would have slipped through unnoticed).

This isn't something that's statistically significant enough to warrant a warning on condom wrappers ("The surgeon-general has determined that adultery may cause premature termination of your life, or that of your spouse") or on the entrances to workplaces (given that so many As start in the workplace) - "Parties entering here do so at their own risk and accept full responsibility for the state of their M as a result of their entry to these premises" or even on social networking sites ("Caution - signing up with this site may endanger your relationship! If you are in an existing relationship, please check the box below to indicate that you acknowledge the risks, and that you have the informed consent of your SO before continuing"...).

i wouldn't lie awake at night worrying about it anymore than I'd lie awake at night worrying that last night's curry was going to go thermonuclear in my H's stomach and turn him into Jerry Springer
