I don't know how much longer I can take it ...

I'm on a bus going from Boulder to Denver (RTD Denver) and this must be the first time this guy has driven a bus. First of all, I thought he was having problems shifting gears until I realized that the bus is an automatic. He must be banging down the accelerator and then letting it go because this bus is jerking back and forth worse than a red bull in heat. Next, he proceeds to go into one of the park-n-rides and somehow manages to go too far and instead of reversing, he tries a u-turn and takes out a sign. I believe it was a yield sign -- but I heard it dragging underneath the bus for a few hundred feet.

Right now we are on 36 and I feel like this bus is going to fall apart at any moment. Everything is vibrating violently and yet he keeps slamming down on the accelerator and then breaking apparently. I'm just waiting to see if we make it to Denver but I seriously doubt we'll do so without him running over something else. Taking the first bus of the day or the last bus of the day is always a wild adventure. Between the drug dealers in the back (who aren't that bad) or the crazies that just giggle randomly while staring out the window, it is never a dull moment on the bus. In a way, this is why I love riding the bus. But this morning, I feel like I'm riding a bull.

Anyone have any interesting travel stories to give us all a nice break from the usual "I miss them" posts?

Muhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! I swear, I've been on that bus but my ride was in the opposite direction at night from DIA to Boulder a little over a year ago!! It sounds like I had the same driver!!!! Enjoy the trip!! It's one of a kind that I haven't encountered anywhere else in the world including being on taxi buses in undeveloped nations!!
