Yeah, I don't mind small tats, like a lower back tat, or something obscure. I was at a Halloween party with some friends, and I was introduced to this gorgous Amazon blonde girl, she does triathlons and is an EMT......she was wearing a hot little "Sailor Girls" outfit...the only buzzkill about it

Is she has a whole friggin sleeve tatoo AAAANd on top of that....a nasty assed ugly tat from probably her armpit down the side of her rib cage to her hip.....like a large mural.

ALmost made me sick to see a beautiful blonde girl put that much crap on her body.

Anyhow, that kind of tat I described was something that men used to do, not women.

I've got a wee tat on my second toe, looks like a toe ring. Very small. I got it with my BFF a few years ago in San Diego, on my birthday. First & last, for me.

interesting....

I have two very small tattoos. My most recent is a small butterfly on the back of my neck.. I like butterflies! The first one is a better story... I got it when I was in my mid-twenties.... a small dolphin on my right ankle. I like it because it reminds me of when I lived in Cali. Also, at the time I was breaking up with a very controlling BF and he did NOT want me to get any tattoes.... so when I did he was pretty pissed. It was my was my little way of saying "F you!"

So your way of getting back at your boyfriend was making yourself uglier?

I think some tattoos are really hot on guys. Piercings are .

funny! but no... I don't think putting a very small dolphin on my ankle made me any uglier... that's pretty hard to do.

oh.. and BTW, the exBF had a few tattoes himself.. which I thought made it even more lame of him to say I couldn't get one.

I have one tattoo on my arm. It was my first and will probably be my last. I got it because it meant something to me at that time and it still does because it was a defining chapter in my life. I personally have no regrets getting it. And I'm free to wear whatever clothes I want because I work in the creative field, which is liberating for the fact of not having to worry about hiding it.

As for women, half the women I've dated has had some kind of tramp stamp tattoo. I'm currently dating one that has 3. Whether or not a girl has a tattoo, it wouldn't affect my attraction to her. A tattoo on a girl can be classy too if it's the right type in addition to the way she dresses...it can be sexy.

My ex-roomie was a hipster bicyclist and he would only prefer to date women that rode bikes. He believed you could associate certain things/traits about a girl/person that did that. And I kind of agree too when it comes to people and tattoos, IME.

I have a tattoo on my right shoulder. It is rarely seen. I don't mind tattoos as long as they aren't excessive.

I agree, one or two small/tiny ones can be cute. Any more than that, the girl kind of loses the air of sophistication.

I wonder how many people here understand how facetious is this oxymoronic statement.

You don't put a bumper sticker on a bentley!!:bunny::bunny::bunny:

I don't like tattoo on women. I think they have beautiful bodies which perform a miracle (child birth). And I've taught my child to appreciate "body art" which we see in the local swimming pool. But for me - I think the female form is better suited to no tattoos.

Men, on the other hand, can look good with a tattoo. A well-done tattoo. But I don't see too many these days.

I think that tattoos are repulsive would probably be unable to have a serious relationship with a woman who had a tattoo.

I got a tatt when I filed for divorce from my XH. :D That was nearly 2 years ago, and no - I don't regret it. It's a quote by a French philosopher. It's on my ankle. I love the font. I love wearing high-heeled sandals because of it. I think it looks good and I don't care if anyone else doesn't.

Tatts on men...it's highly subjective with regards to placement, content, and size.

Yeah, as long as they aren't big friggin' MURALS on their entire back / shoulder....I don't mind. Otherwise, anything that big, is a plain turn-off....and kind of tacky if it's that big.
