now_what Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 He didn't make his child support payment last week. I wondered why I didn't get it and emailed him. He said he had already paid twice in December so he thought we were square. Turns out he requested that his payroll department not withhold money on the 12/31 pay because he thought he was done for the year. What?? The court order requires his payroll department to withhold support every two weeks. Why in the world did they listen to him? His payroll department said they do not get involved in personal matters. I called the child support office and they said he was not allowed to request that money not be withheld and his employer is not allowed to not withhold. He knows perfectly well that I am to be paid every two weeks just like he is. I don't know what kind of game he's trying to play here, but it's got me pretty ticked off. I count on that money as part of my household budget. I thought 2010 was going to be better. I just about got broadsided on my way to work today and had a root canal yesterday, and now this foolishness.
Author now_what Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 I know, I know, things could be much worse. But did he think I wouldn't miss almost $400? I swear, the longer he is with his biker wife, the dumber he gets. He lives over 80 miles from his job, what kind of sense does that make? He had said he was going to move closer to his job, but looks like that didn't happen. I'm wondering what I ever saw in this man. How in the world were we together over 30 years? He is practically a stranger to me now. His wife is a bit of a flake and a sneak, guess she is rubbing off.
Jade 02 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Ah he knew that money was suppose to go to you,and your child/children,he probably was saving for christmas in the new life where,he has less respsonsibilities,believe me,sooner or later the grass is NEVER greener on the other side. I believe there are some legal things you can do to get your 400 dollars,call a lawyer at least the 1st consultant is free,call all the lawyers they'd be all free. His fun will soon run out IMO.
