CM2009 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Hello everyone I proud to say that January 7th I will be filing for divorce from my cheating STBXW. I'm actually happy because this will mark the start of my new life A.W. (After Wife) I wanna know from those who've been through how did you feel after you went and filed? What are the steps, I know someone has to serve her, who did you get to do it and what was the results and how did your STBXS react when they were served? If you wanna know more about my situation just read my previous threads......

PWSX3 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 in my case I just met with the former wife's lawyer & signed the paperwork there. She didn't want me to be served at my work & that was fine with me as well. I guess it depends on your situation but that is how we did it. My former W had a lawyer but I didn't, she was the one that wanted the divorce, but again we were very fair & civil about the whole thing. That is one persons way of doing it, I'm sure you will hear many other ways.

Here's my story I married a woman with 2 kids from a different relationship. So we were married for 3 yrs and she felt that her relationship with this guy guy who she worked with who was also married with multiple kids was more important then her marriage, and what made it worse is the guy held himself as a friend to me, we coached our kids in basketball for the local city team. So even after I found out they're were texting at all times of the night I still wanted to work it out, but she had other idea's she wanted to seperate (the old bs excuse) so I moved out even though I didn't want to. Months went on with me trying to give her space and hoping that she'll come to her senses, and her and I finally talked and she said she was done and it was rough for me but I still was hoping and praying for a miricle. We talked another time and I asked her has she filled and she said she would but she didn't have the money. Then come to find out from the guys wife that they were meeting up at hotels and after I heard that I had offically had with her so I made up my mind that I was gonna end this thing. I had seen her on Christmas because I loved the kids and I got "them" something and when I went by there I wasn't really paying her any attention I guess I was more focus on the kids and while they were playing with my gifts. For some reason she couldn't look at me face to face I don't know if it was guilt or what but I happens to look overthere and she was trying her hardest not to look at me, so that's my story......
