So basically, she's dating him for like a few months and she tells me he NEVER takes her to any of his social events, or hang out with friends or anything. I told her, well I think something's up. So she said.

[18:06] ****: at least i know what i want

[18:06] ****: that's why i want to attempt to train this dude

[18:07] ****: i'm going to mold him into the person i want

[18:07] me: ain't gonna happen

[18:07] me: seriously

[18:07] me: you can try

[18:07] me: but you have to understand you can't change people

[18:08] me: i'm seriously trying to help you

[18:08] ****: i will force feed him

[18:08] me: you are dillusional

[18:08] ****: by giving him silent treatments until he gets his act together

Have you tried to change someone in a relationship? Then realize that it's just not going to work?

I tried once... and it sucked. I felt like a jerk, and she basically said "You don't love me for who I am"

End of story.

I have never understood that either...I've had many female friends that look at dating a guy like taking on an art project. Rather than just finding someone that has the qualities they desire right off the bat, they'd rather find a man with few desirable qualities and try to "change" him.

The truth is that women like this either:

a) have low self-esteem and think that the men that already have said desirable qualities would not be interested in them or are out of their reach.

b) value and need the validation that comes when a man "changes" himself for them (even though it rarely happens)...it makes them feel special and like they were integral in "helping" the guy.

Or both...

A leopard never changes his spots..

Only thing you can train him in, is how to be a better lover in the sack.. Although this takes alot of time and many many many attempts.

Oh Boy! Is this the one you just heard from on fb?

Whoever she is she is in for a lonely existence..lol! She basically said she would give the silent treatment until he falls prey to her? I am sure that will be music to his ears. LOL!

Wow! Well, at least she's honest, I'll give her that.:o
