Awesome Username Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I love my mom, but she is a drug addict and she drives me up a wall. It's about two in the morning and she called me completely spun out of her mind, telling me that something happened and that she's in the emergency room, but she "couldn't talk about it right now, but she almost died." I told her to get her husband so I could talk to him, and it took her forever and she kept putting it off. Finally, I called him and was worried sick almost in tears, asking what happened to my mother and if she was getting out of the hospital soon and whether I should take a train down there. "What do you mean hospital? We're at home...oh yeah, your mom got into the pill stash again...sorry she woke you up." She never called me back. She always does these things to me, especially when she is jealous of the people who adopted me. She's still abusive, even though I'm an adult and I live far away from her. No matter what, I'm sure she'll always find a way to intentionally upset me. Now, to try to get some sleep again. I have an important job interview tomorrow morning, too. *grumble*
Jade 02 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Geez I don't know what to say that would help you except,maybe just keep in touch with the dude,that you talked to after your mom pulled that shananagan,Maybe she is looking for a lil more attention from you,'m sorry it's to the point if driving you bananas I hope this crap will stop for your own sanity. I know you love your mom,but ya gotta love yourself to,darn,I'd be pist if someone ruined my sleep,and I had something important to wake up to. Bless your heart hope it gets better,Can her husband get her some help? best wishes jade

Apparently she took a bunch of Ambien and was sleepwalking. Hahaha! I'm a lot less angry about it today. Her husband is amazing, and I love her even though she is a weirdo. <3
Jade 02 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Awsome I was just rereading this thread,and got to thinking,MAN your mom needs some kind of mental hep,and not that kind that prscribes pills all the time,there got to be some reason way in her head that makes her do this,thats not normal. Man ti take that many ambiens how can she stand up,never mind sleep walk? Like I said i know you love your mom,butmay you can get some guidance in how to guide her to a place that does not prescribe. prescriptions these days,Drs. just have a way of scratching that pad,and just getting the patient out so another can come in,and Dr. makes more money. best wishes
