I think it depends on the woman's mentality and where she is in life by the time the big 3-0 has hit.

 

There are many who maybe spent their 20s picking guys who they hoped would be Mr Right, but they really aren't Mr Right for anyone...now they're in their 30s and want stability over excitement and thus select the guys they rejected in their 20s. They "saw the light" or "came to their senses".

 

There are others who are still adamant on the idea of that picture-perfect alpha male who can get any girl in the room, but will give them all up for her. These women either are the insecure types who still get payed by bad men for the rest of their lives, or are the ones who put up a big front of strength with the slogan "I'LL NEVER SETTLE" as their mantra.

 

Some women unfortunately will hit 30 and believe their "sell by date" has passed, so suddenly the long list of qualities will vanish and they will "settle" because they just want to not be the single woman in a realm of married women. Usually their social circles will push this. We'll also see some single moms get into this insecurity...believing that most men will reject them.

 

It depends on the woman you meet. I also think many "nice guys" who are doormats more or less mature and become better more attractive men. Thus why you see many "nice guys" suddenly find Ms Right.

Personally I hope to god women who today date all kinds of trash don't change, because I don't want to ever date them. If I found out that a woman dated a guy I find really repulsive and she liked me, I would immediatly dislike her.

I dont really understand how this post contributes to the OPs question. Women behave badly, men behave equally as badly - one thing you learn when you get a little older is that people are people. Yes, they behave like idiots sometimes, make mistakes, etc etc. No one is perfect.....

You find a spark and as you get older it gets easier to listen to your head as well as your heart and find people that make you happy. You have lived and loved and you arent a bitter smartarse anymore because you've learnt something from your experiences....hopefully this means you know what makes you happy...you dont try and fight against it..you just know. I've learned to stop caring how women judge me, and just call a spade a spade. The kind of woman I would like to meet agrees with me, I am constantly talking about these issues with older ladies in their 50's and 60's and they not only agree, but the other day a lady told me "joseph, your generation of women are bitches and not worth your time" I've met girls my own age once in a while who are the same but unfortunately they are all snatched up really fast.

It enrages me because it is another woman who is sullied and hence taken out of my dating pool. I find most women my age have disgusting little secrets like this in their past. I find it an insult to my dignity as well if a woman who does crap like that, later on go on dates with good and decent men, and not even sleep with them. It didn't happen with me, but it did happen to my classmate at the time who went out on numerous dates with her only for her to decide she "wasn't interested".

I agree. Being tricked by such a woman is a very unpleasant experience. But there is little you can do. You can only hope that they are honest if you ask about their past.

I have to admit my anecdotal sampling bears out some of what's being asserted here, especially Wog's comment about how some women's past choices affect how they're perceived; their aura. In a way, I find it quite sad, especially for those my age. Life has indeed taken its toll. The key is in identifying the damaged ones and remaining politely clear of them.
