Kamille Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I didn't read through the thread but I really liked my last two dates: Museum and ice skating. Ice skating... I'd probably fall on my butt a lot I like museums though. I wonder what their hours are here, I'm going to look into it. Huh? I was thinking ice skating all along (likely all that ranting about cold-weather!). You know, some nice ice-skating followed by a warm cup of hot chocolate or Irish coffee. That being barred... Hmmm... Depending on what you like and what you feel he likes, what about dinner theater? Or perhaps some indoor amusement park? Or bowling? or Salsa dancing? Didn't someone take you out to a place you loved when you first moved to your city?

alphamale Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 So I'm trying to come up with some ideas of fun indoor stuff. sexual activities will be cheap and fun
jerbear Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Join the polar bear club? How about volunteering some time? Both of you are doing something together. (indoor horizontal bench pressing?)
alphamale Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 No sexual ideas Alpha! do you have a whirlyball facility nearby?
carhill Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 First date? Never met? To me, that would be lunch or drinks (inexpensive) and 'fun' would be a walk in the snow, provided the meeting was positive.
alphamale Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 and 'fun' would be a walk in the snow, oh i can see that convo: ME: so what do you want to do? HER: i don't know, anything is ok i guess ME: how 'bout a "walk in the snow" HER: dude, its like 7 degrees outside with heavy wind ME: so? HER: you're a loser, i'm not goin' out there,
Author dreamergrl Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 do you have a whirlyball facility nearby? What's that?
alphamale Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 What's that? http://www.whirlyballwest.com/whatIsWB.html
carhill Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 If there's a connection, a walk in the snow is extremely romantic. It also can be a lot of fun, both people watching and interacting and being goofy in the slippery whiteness. It's also free. There are many ways of keeping 'warm'. Don't make me tell you
Author dreamergrl Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 http://www.whirlyballwest.com/whatIsWB.html I'd hurt someone If there's a connection, a walk in the snow is extremely romantic. Don't make me tell you I think I can take a few guess
carhill Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Coffee or lunch; wow, we're enjoying each other; head out and wander; it's cold; duck in a doorway for a quick warm-up; hold mittens and occasionally embrace; afternoon passes. Wow, I'm hungry; what do you feel like having? Duck in another doorway for dinner. Time passes almost without notice. This is how marriages and little bumps can start
make me believe Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 If you like Dave & Busters I think that's a good idea! We have one of those here too (AZ) and it seems good for first dates cause if there are any awkward silences at least you are doing something active and not just sitting at a restaurant staring at each other! Plus they have beer so you can have a couple drinks and loosen up if things are going well.
Yukikazi Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 So?? What happend with the naked pudding wrestling D?
Author dreamergrl Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Well, Monday came and I hadn't heard from him so I figured he decided he didn't want to go. I went out and did my own thing, came home to an email from him, saying he lost his phone and hoped I got that message in time. It's okay though, because a guy I had met previously is having dinner with me, and I like him (so far ) and would like to get to know him better.
