wondering how many of you have thought to check on your spouse if you suspect they might be cheating?

doesn't tonight seem like the night they would absolutely contact the OM/OW if they were cheating? possibly right after midnight? or to attempt to go out and see them at some point during the evening...

how have things gone down for any of you in the past years... anyone notice this before?

Would have to say yeah, if you can check the phone records, tonight would be a good night to look.

Heck, I'm not even with MM anymore and he called/texted several times on Christmas, and called tonight to wish me a Happy New Year (and he's on vacay with the family).

ahhhh, i had a feeling it was a highly reliable evening for accountability, or lack of...

Yeah, if my H's new woman would check my H's comp she would find what he has written me during this festive holiday season.

Nothing in response from me except "hope you and yours have a happy chrimbo"

Both losers are what they are and always will be.

Yep - I remember the MM I was in an affair with calling me on NYE (during the day) to tell me that he wished he was with me, he loved me and we would be together soon. We split for good 6 months later.

so why don't more spouses pay attention on a night like tonight - either earlier in the day/evening - or past midnight when it seems obvious the cheater would try contacting the OM/OW?

Maybe they don't want to know or bother.

Yep. Each year I'd get a flood of messages from MMs I was currently in As with (or past ones, still hopeful) wishing me HNY. (I didn't respond, though - my phone would be off as I'd be with my chosen MM for that night...) But it was a definite compulsion on their part to try to make the contact.

and specifically why i never initiated contact with any men last night... how interesting to see who tried to make contact upon awakening in the morning - and what time it was!

of all my friends - it is the married men who try for contact when they shouldn't be trying at all...

I've read the best holiday to check cell phones, bank statements, etc. is Valentine's Day.:)

The WS may spend that evening at home, or out with the family, but SOMETIME around the holiday will be a late night, a business trip, etc.
