carhill Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 one word : NO I'll take it further. I think there will never be a time when women cheat more prolifically than men Maybe we need a full story from Lizzie to understand it better.... Sure it is somewhere, but she does have many many posts..... Found one where she gave the numbers she's been with and it is quite impressive;).... Probably 2/3's plus were married, so that may skew her perception. Background Number
agentsmith Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I think both cheat in roughly equal numbers.
Author Peitho Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Come on Lizzie - what the....LOL!!!!! Yes, Lizzie, how can you be so categorical? What are your reasons?
Toodamnpragmatic Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) I'll take it further. I think there will never be a time when women cheat more prolifically than men Background Number In 2007 she was late 40's and in 2009 she is 57...... And I know I read 59 elsewhere...... Edited January 1, 2010 by Toodamnpragmatic
gopher Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Funny, in post 1 she says late 40's, and in post 13 she says 54....That's some serious aging there! No offense!! Love ya Lizzie:p
carhill Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Post #31 corrects her age to 55. My presumption was she started her current 'lifestyle' in her late 40's. If correct, that timeline and her aggregate number makes sense; roughly 30+ partners per year on average. Easy for anyone who enjoys sex with multiple people to do, without cheating.
Lizzie60 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I had forgotten about my first post.. thanks Carhill... My real age is 57... (July).. not sure why I had written late 40's ... I think I used that age in every dating sites I had a profile back then... Now I don't hide my age... (most of the time ). I have never ever post '59'... not sure where you got that... wasn't me.. 57 is 'old enough'
michelangelo Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I agree with the posters who wrote that women are better at keeping it a secret. think of it, if men are cheating more than women, just who is this poor lady who's banging all the surplus?
Lizzie60 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I agree with the posters who wrote that women are better at keeping it a secret. think of it, if men are cheating more than women, just who is this poor lady who's banging all the surplus? a lot of married men are cheating with single women.. a lot more men cheat than women... I have never ever seen stats that said othewise.. and even from threads/posts on LS.. it shows more men cheat than women..
hopeful1980 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I doubt women cheat more than men. It would seem that most unsatisfied women would just stock up on some AA batteries.
threebyfate Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 TBH, I don't personally care which gender cheats more. I'm more concerned about a partner or potential partner, whether he's likely to cheat or not, as well as if he's ever cheated before, whether enabling a cheater or cheating. Choose wisely but know one thing. If your partner cheats on you, you'll survive and better yet, you'll thrive by improving on your next partner!

thirdgirl Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I think men are more likely to cheat than women.
Simon Attwood Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 No matter what you think, whether you think men cheat more than women, or whether you think women cheat more than men; your opinion will be based upon your experiences and perspectives. Your opinion will be clouded by prejudices and bias. your opinion can never be truly reflective of the truth there is no such thing as an opinion without prejudice
Author Peitho Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 No matter what you think, whether you think men cheat more than women, or whether you think women cheat more than men; your opinion will be based upon your experiences and perspectives. Your opinion will be clouded by prejudices and bias. your opinion can never be truly reflective of the truth there is no such thing as an opinion without prejudice And I agree 100% Just wanted to hear people's opinions - never expected the absolute truth.
on1wheel Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I agree 100% & have painfully lived through it twice...fiance who I left immediately & my wife who I have tried to stay for the sake of our innocent child. I can't say why, as neither of them have had a reasonable explanation (just more BS) but I believe your friend has some good points. It's true that it is soooo much easier for a woman to cheat, so they have that spur of the moment opportunity. Let's be honest; what man would turn down a horny woman just looking for sex??? I know that I will NEVER trust any woman fully ever again. I wish you all the best & hope that none of you ever have to live through what I have.
Lizzie60 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I have yet to see a stats that shows women cheat more than men...
Holding-On Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 There would be little need for courtesans like Lizzie if women cheated more than men.
schewter Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I wasn't implying anything, just stating what I read. It said that the closer one was to God, the more likely they would not cheat. I don't buy this...everyone I know who has cheated claims to be a christian...some from the strictest sects; baptists, pentecosts, etc. I am a staunch atheist and have never stepped out on my marriage...and frankly, most other atheists I know tend to be very monogamous.
Untouchable_Fire Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Emotional disconnection with my H. Lack of attention, excitement, conversation, and affection for almost two years. Sex was not my reason for cheating. Had appropriate social outlets like church activities, sports activities, etc. None of those outlets like magazines, strip clubs, etc would have provided my missing needs. I can't think of a single relationship that doesn't lack this at one point. So this isn't your real reason for cheating. It's an excuse and a justification.
schewter Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Regarding the topic of the thread: where I come from more men cheat than women...worse in years past but I'm betting still about two to one. Roles were defined, women stayed home and raised the kids...men worked in the woods, on the water, etc...the old cliche, "they worked hard and played hard". I think there is still a lingering double standard that it is more a disgrace for a woman to step out than a man...I think a lot of small towns, villages and rural communities would be like this still.
Author Peitho Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 on1wheel, I’m sorry for all the pain you must’ve felt going through that not once but twice. It's true that it is soooo much easier for a woman to cheat, so they have that spur of the moment opportunity I believe that to be true too (regardless of who cheats more). Let's be honest; what man would turn down a horny woman just looking for sex??? I know that I will NEVER trust any woman fully ever again. Well, if that’s the case, you should not trust men either.
