Any women from the US care to answer this next question honestly for me?

Do you have a problem dating a guy who looks slightly, or more than slightly Middle-Eastern/Arab in appearance?

Would that put you off?

Posted

No. I have dated men of Middle-Eastern heritage before.

It would not bother me at all.

My family might flip out though.

same. but my family had 'reservations' with me marrying a german. I said the war ended over 50 years ago, he wasn't even born. But my grandad fought in the war.

Sometimes there is a disconnect between generations and each one has their valid point of view.

no..its all about the person, the chemistry etc

yup. But sometimes you might not feel a 'connection' if the person doesn't share a similar culture with you.

However, the people I find most fascinating had a completely different childhood from myself.

So I think a lot of these artificial barriers re race, culture, background - are just that - artificial.

You meet some people, and they are just interesting and sometimes the difference in the upbringing keeps the relationship from going stale, because you are ALWAYS learning something new about the other person and their history, culture, family etc.

I guess, never prejudge someone before you get to know them. So I guess I'm saying OP's question isn't the right question to be asking.
