gopher Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 How many of you single guys are looking for someone to marry, versus looking for a less committed relationship?
stevejohnson1976 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 i dunno about married...but Im 100% looking for something serious....commitment. if it leads to marriage, great...
sagetalk Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I'm looking for marriage. I could never face my family if I just dated a girl and never married her.
JL911 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I can say I am not opposed to the idea of marriage as long as its with the right person. I think that might be more along the lines of what I am looking for. I want someone comitted, loyal, trustworthy, and who just loves the **** outa me...If I find that, I will strongly consider taking the next step...
Art_Critic Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Gopher... After I reached my 30's I always dated with the idea of marriage somewhere in the equation.. Isn't marriage the end result ? So why waste my time on someone I knew I would never marry ? To me if the woman I was thinking of dating didn't pass my ideal marriage partner potential test then I just never dated her. I will say though that when I was young I dated more for fun and to learn who and what I wanted or didn't want out of a partner and it was later on in life when I was in my 30's that I adopted the marriage litmus test.

Vertex Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I'm only 23, although a few of my old high school friends have gotten married recently. Seems too soon for me to follow suit, but I would like something serious (I've never been a super active dater or a ONS kind of guy) -- if it's someone I couldn't eventually see myself marrying, I'd probably lose interest. I am interested in marriage, but just not right now. Doesn't mean I don't want to have a deeper/more mature relationship with someone.

MyNameIsJonas Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 How many of you single guys are looking for someone to marry, versus looking for a less committed relationship? I don't really enter into a relationship with high expectations, in a good way. The way I see it, if I enjoy a woman, I'm physically attracted to her, and the feeling is mutual, I'll date her and see where it goes from there. In my experience, both direct and indirect, you really can't draw a conclusion as to whether or not you want to marry a woman until fairly deep into the relationship. Too many people get "locked down" based on infatuation too early which causes broken engagements, marriages, and so forth. Of course, none of my past relationships have never reached that level so take what I say with a grain of salt.
