Anyone ever have a bf/gf spend WAAAAY more money/time on them then you did for them, and you feel slightly guilty about it?

I spent way more money on my GF for Christmas than she did for me. I think she may feel a little guilty about that, but I've gone out of my way to assure her that she needn't feel that way. I'm a professional making a good income, and she's a "starving student". The disparity doesn't bother me at all.

BF spent 4 figures more than I did on my gifts than I did on his. I don't feel guilty per se, but I do wish I could have spent as much as he did.

That is why I don't like the big gift thing. As soon as a guy starts buying me showy gifts I pull back. It engenders total distrust.
