Meaplus3 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 WOW. I received some Anxeity hypnosis CD's for Christmas and they work. Amazing. I was lucky enough to upload the CD to my I-phone.. and this works great for me. I was feeling keyed up last night, so I listened to one of the 30 minutes sessions and I watched my HR drop.. and felt my body relax in a complete way.. I was amazed at the power of using a tool like this to quiet the mind. Just wanted to share this info for those who suffer from anxeity. This stuff works. Mea:)
TaraMaiden Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I think it's important to emphasise two things, here: in hypnosis of this kind, you are always in control, even if in a relaxed state. if anything is suggested which 'goes against the grain', it's no effort at all to 'snap out of it'. it's worth listening to the cd's in a day-to-day state, and simply hear them without going into the practice, to see whether there is anything which might go against your own psyche and conflict with what you follow, as it were. Secondly, hypnosis can never make you do anything you would never do in a non-hypnotic state. For example, if you would never dream of striking anyone, the suggestion you wallop your neighbour for no good reason simply won't work. These self-hypnosis tapes are very good. I have used them myself, but one in particular began to suggest to me I "focus on the 'Higher Power' and surrender my Love to him"... which snapped me out of it completely, and brought the CD to a Bin-content state. But most of them are very beneficial indeed. Sorry for thread-jacking, Mea.

I now know why. I was so relaxed. Mea:)
Angel1111 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Hey, that's really cool. I know you've been having problems. I'm glad you found a solution to get some relief. I may look into that for things that are bugging me. Although I've been to a hynotist before and I discovered that I'm very hard to hypnotize. It was kind of funny in one way, kind of annoying in another. Maybe CDs would have some effect though. Couldn't hurt.
Payden Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I don't know if I can get P/M's on here, but I surely would like to know what CD's these are. I have terrible anxiety, nothing clinical, but I haven't exactly seen anyone for it yet, but soon though which sucks.

Couldn't hurt. That's what I like about the CD'S they really can't hurt. Infact, I plan to listen to this one CD I like every day because it offers so much positive affirmation with regards to over coming fear.. which is the driving force behind anxeity and panic. Mea:)
Payden Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Thank you. I never thought those "tapes" lol are actuallly anything that work. I'll give it a try since I have seen that they do work from real people that have used them on this forum.
Dooda Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I tried one of these before, but it never worked. I tried to get into the 'relaxed state' but I wasn't able to because I kept thinking about my problems, my anxiety and the "What Ifs"... It's hard for me to just stop thinking and let myself go. I'll try this one, and thanks for the info Mea. But I agree with Shea that there is nothing any hypnosis tape can do for you that you can't do for yourself. It has to come from within first.

Do try it. Dropping the what if's are a big step to over coming anxeity and it's not easy but can be done. Good luck. Mea:)

Yukikazi Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I listen to these things at night to help go to sleep and see what they can do... Seems to work for me.. I'm certainly acting a lot different compared to when I started them.

Mea:) I struggle with anxiety sometimes and when it's at it's worst I can't seem to switch my mind off. I don't want to take medication so I am completely open to trying other methods to manage it. Thanks for this information.. I'm going to look for these CD's.
