mx1998 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I have a friend who is extremely unconfident in hisself especially when it come to ladies. Im trying to help him gain confidence, you know, day by day. But iI want to make sure that im actually helping him. My question is, Do ladies like confident, not cocky, guys better than the shy timid type? I would show hi by example that I believe they do but im not looking for anyone right now so... its kind of hard to actually show him. Give me some feed back if you dont mind. He's into the artsy expressive kind, if that helps any. Thanks for your help

Author mx1998 Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 I mean the guy has been through alot. he has only had 1 gf in his entire life and he is 20. and they went out for three years and then just... like that they broke up, also within a month of his dad passing on. soo.. the kid has had a lot go bad for him. So here is my other ? taking in all that how do i help build his confidence. i mean i know how, but wht would be some other pointers. One thing i try to tell him is to look proudly at hisself in the mirror. he has a major issue with his reflection, i always tell him if you dont like you then why would some chick, right?! also this may contradict my last satement but he does have like 4-5 girls that apparently like him and he 'drools' over them he just wont make a move whats something that yall would tell him that im not? like just go for it.

People are either charming or tedious- Oscar Wilde Just tell him to muster up the confidence to go upto girls and be himself. Not everybody will like him but that isn't the point anyway. Over time he will learn to be confident with himself and when that happens things will flow a lot smoother for him. Just takes time and experience.

Remember, don't tell him to get a big ego. Excessive ego is good in the things a man do, never in his personality. He must show that what he does, he does well and right. His voice needs to be strong, and smile with confidence, eye contact.
