Because they decided to pull out our hearts, stomp it into the ground, spit on it where it lays, and push rock salt into it with a rolling pin...

 

We get to save all that money on Christmas Gifts! :bunny:

 

As my drunken great grandma' would say when she was not yelling at grampa to turn down the tv, "Sometimes the best gifts comes out of the ugliest wrappings".

 

Here is to that great gift waiting for all after we get past this ugly wrappings.

Merry Christmas man!I dont know your situation but all i can say is that life will mend itself.If you have a mended heart then hooray,you (and I) just overcame one of life's toughest lessons,heartbreak.

This time last year I'd spent over £800 on pressies for my ex & her 2 kiddies.

 

Boots=£80(reduced - get in)

sat nav=£110

dressing robe=£55

mont blanc pen=£225

 

and that was just hers .... I got an iPhone, some adult heelies & a chuckle brothers dvd. She had a wicked sense of humour, damn it I miss my best friend!!!

 

I would do anything for another crack, still got so much raw love for her even after all these weeks of heartbreak

 

ps: why do you yanks say 'happy holidays' and not happy christmas?

& did I forget to mention the 6 course meal & dance I booked for last years Xmas eve? I think she was one of those 'high maintenance' chicks you hear about - but I loved, respected her & she was worth it - only in hindsight of course. Not whilst we were actually going out together, I'm a bloke

I bought myself some new boots (thigh high) some new undies and a super short skirt!!

The word that comes to mind is 'narcissistic'. I'm sure you know what that means as you love to use long & complex words (thesaurus) & with your posse on here this will flame your fire.

 

People on here are on the edge of acceptance, low confidence & self esteem, like me, but I've got to tackle people who want to boost their own self worth by making others feel worthless. I call that ignorant & insensitive at best and bullying at worst.

 

Like I say I've seen it before and expect to see it again. If your honest with yourself you will agree with me but I seriously doubt that because it would suggest real maturity & that's unlikely. I'm not here to argue - just defend myself & others you have been a prick too

But I am truly sorry if you feel otherwise.

 

We all have our particular coping mechanisms.. As you can ascertain, mine is humor (or at times should one say the attempt at it?). I do understand that some do not appreciate such gallows humor, I find it to be way to acknowledge the pain that puts us on the "edge of acceptance, low confidence & self esteem" while keeping it at bay from having dominance.

 

I do understand that my flavor can be wry for some, but if you look closely, you will see in most cases it directed towards myself at at my own expense. As was the case with my response to your post here. It was not malice toward you but mocking my own inability to let those sheepheaed sleeping dogs lie.

 

We are all here to share our hurt, there is no reason we can not share a laugh too. Again, if you felt this was at your expense, I can sure you, it was not the intent.

I think, after the many hundreds of caring, witty, insightful and inspirational posts you have (it seems, tirelessly) written this year - giving hope to countless, lost people - that you truly deserve it.
