D-Jam Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Life isn't fair to anyone. No matter who you are, there will always be someone "better" than you or someone who has it "better" than you. Why not go out and do it for yourself, rather than sitting back, crying the blues? Why be so envious and jealous of others, when that energy could be better spent in self improvement? I_just_don't_get_it. I was being sarcastic. I knew since I was a child that life isn't meant to be fair. It's a shame it took me so long to realize what I was doing that held my life back in many ways, and now to claim my life for me and my own...and not wonder or think less of myself for being alone. And like how things seem to always work...that's when I met Ms Right. I may sound mean and harsh here, but I guess being nice wasn't helping these guys so maybe a sharp kick in the butt would. I dunno. I personally think it's within all these guys to claim their lives and make themselves happy in life (and thus magically find the women taking notice), but they seem to like wallowing in self-pity more. It's a shame, especially with all the lonely single women out there who hate being alone, but aren't going to settle for a doormat whiner. They're not all seeking bad boys and alphas...just a guy with a backbone and some love for himself as a person.

Vertex Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Usually when "another person shows up out of nowhere with information" in conjunction with some other high-activity event, it's indicative of a troll trying to further set up additional attempts to generate controversy. Either way, troll or not, betamanlet is clearly after the attention (either positive or negative) and doesn't really care about the advice people give him. I figured that as a lawyer he would understand that he's committing a huge fallacy of confirmation bias (amongst a dozen other fallacies) and yet he doesn't even respond to the claim. The only thing we can do is suggest he get professional help if he is indeed the real deal, but otherwise trying to help him on this board is likely futile. He just doesn't want to listen to any of it.

It seems a Loveshack member is also a member of another forum and this guy recognized BetaMan as a member of this other forum and has been outing BetaMan (his own claim) not only here but on this other forum too. The publicity has probably inspired the other forum members to come here to check out the drama and contribute to it. A big troll? Maybe they want to get Loveshack members to look at their forum but if that were the case then why would they troll with such a detestable personality such as BetaMan? If he is any indication of what this other forum is about then I highly doubt anyone will want to follow him there.

So I can say with absolute clarity, I have NEVER had a FWB arrangement, the few sexual experiences I have have been from allegedly committed relationships. Sigh, this is getting so tedious reading posts from young men whining because women won't let them use their bodies for cheap sex. So you want to be a playah? Too dang bad, because most of us don't want that kind of relationship, and you're not even nice enough to be trusted in a LTR, because you'd be trying to play with someone else, even if you weren't successful at it. What kind of man does that make you? I did have to wonder though--you mentioned being on the autism spectrum? Do you have autism or Asperger's? If so, you really do have to try harder, and you won't ever be a player, but you may be able to find a relationship with a nice lady if you ever learn how to treat them. I have ADD which sometimes makes a person have poor social skills, so I got help for it, and I still have to try a lot harder than the average person, but I'm not bitter against men for any reason. I just know that the man I end up with will be rather unique, which is fine with me--and I will not be getting into any FWB relationships, alpha male or not.

But after I realized he had issues, I felt guilty just breaking up with him, so I kept dating him for a short time. About a week later or so, we were at a party and I saw a guy I wanted to be with. So I just dumped him on the spot for this other guy.
