He's into music, movies, technology/computer stuff and snowboarding. He doesn't read.

A cd/dvd is out because he downloads everything on his computer. I have no clue what he has or doesn't have in terms of gadgets -- his place is already pretty pimped out with them.

I was thinking of getting him a bunch of tshirts off Threadless.com, but what if he doesn't like the ones I pick out? He seems pretty particular.

Advice?

Ask him

Gift certs to his stores of choice

Since we don;'t know how well you know this guy.. assuming its pretty good.

Coupons for kinky sex acts

Gift Cert for a sex toy store or lingerie where he picks what it gotten.

I think this is one decision you're going to have to make without the advice of strangers who know neither you nor he.

Stop being mean.

Men like food. Bake him some cookies and take him to his favorite restaurant. Gift certificates are kind of impersonal.

How much $$ do you want to spend?

Download a mix for him on iTunes and give him the code to retrieve it. Wrap it in a CD case, with artwork designed by you.

Make him his favorite meal, and a nice bottle of wine.

Nice! I didn't know that was possible.

Get him tickets to theatre play or a music show.

I've never met a guy that appreciated a mix tape of any kind. All the guys I know already have all the music they want, its lame in general. do the dinner and cookies. If you dont know him well enough, you will wind up getting him something he will just wind up putting down and forgetting about. Go all out with dinner and pampering. That will stick out in his mind.

I agree with boogieboy. As for me there is nothing tangible I could get my boyfriend because he is in LOVE with all things electronic and unfortunately at the moment he owns everything within my price range that he does want. (I'm not paying $300 for some headphones, but I digress). So yeah cook him dinner or something, something sweet that takes time, effort, and thought to put together. He'll really appreciate and remember that. :)

Get him something diy-ed, make him something, it's the most sincere it gets compared to picking something off the shelf (:

Thanks for the input, guys!! I think I'll do the dinner thing. I've been wanting to make him dinner anyway, as I've never done that for a guy, but I think I'll make it extra special and festive.

Only thing is I have no clue what kind of food he likes. I'd guess he enjoys typical guy food. Any ideas on food choices so it's extra special??

With this relationship I'm trying to do more girlfriendy things than I've done in the past.

ooh recipe thread!

Is he a meat eater?

This is one of my favorite 'dinner recipes'. It's easy and you do most of the prepping the day before, so you can look cool and composed for your date. (And not like you slaved all day in the kitchen).

Delicious served with crusty bread, rice pilaf and a green salad.

Don't you guys go out to eat together? I'm assuming you're going out on DATES, right? What has he eaten when you go out? That should give you an idea... :)

Are you his girlfriend?

Don't play the part until you fit the role. Otherwise, you stand to put yourself in a position where you're putting in all the wooing and courting...

Ha. No, I definitely am. We had the exclusivity talk pretty early on, he changed his facebook status to in a relationship immediately, and he's introduced me to several people as his girlfriend.

Yeah, we've gone to dinner, but nothing too adventurous (American food, Italian, etc.).

Well, I know he likes chili, sausage, burgers and beer. Dat's about it. Lol.

I feel so vindicated! I knew it! I knew you wouldn't stay single long.

I'm googling more recipes as we speak.

How about pasta? It's easy to make and you can be creative.
